Chapter 1: The Beginning

Opening Credits

Somewhere outside the normal space-time continuum.

The famous mesmerising theme song: dam-dadadadam dam-dadadadam dam-dadadadam tooo-oooo-oooo tooo-oooo-oooo tooo-oooo-oooo-oooo-oooo tooo-oooo-oooooooo... (I hope my transcription is correct.)

However, instead of the expected and universally known blue police box, appears the less famous giant cuckoo clock.

Here the theme song changes.

Blackadder...Blackadder...

Edmund is concentrated on stirring the machine through hyperspace so they would find the way back to their time (recommendation to see the Blackadder millennium special).

He notices that his servant is concentrated on something completely disconnected from their present predicament (which might as well be for the best).

"What is that?!"

"It's a baby, sir."

"I can see it's a baby, Baldrick, what I meant to ask is where did it come from?"

"From that last place we appeared."

"And why did you think it was a good idea to pick an unknown child?"

"He isn't unknown, his name is Harry." Baldrick shows the name tag embroidered on the blanket.

"Well, sir, the machine's appearance did blow up that house and killed those people, and I thought it was the proper thing to do – offer shelter to their wounded son."

Baldrick shows the lightning-bolt shaped gash on Harry's front. It is bleeding, and under the circumstances of their lack of necessary facilities, Baldrick takes out his best-and-worst-and-only handkerchief and tries to use it to stop the bleeding (thus killing the horcrux).

Edmund mellows. "Alright, but that means we have to make another stop quickly so that we could try to find some baby food and other necessary supplies."

End of Prologue.

So this is the beginning of our story how Henry Blackadder became the most feared Dark Lord of all times.
