Prologue: The creation of a city
100,000 years ago
A small group of hooded beings sauntered across a dry, almost feature-less landscape. They had a very enigmatic aurora, not to mention their feeble appearance. In truth, these were Great Beings, creatures in spite of their outward appearance, have great ethereal powers. Their original home was splintered into pieces, so they were forced to planet-hop, looking for refuge every hundred thousand years. For 400,000 years they've done this, and this was a break before going to a different planet.
"How long have we been doing this", asked one.
"400,000 years, and still we have not found a more permanent location. I worry we might be planet hopping for all eternity", replied another. They were definitely going to do that one more time. The barren landscape had only one feature- a giant silver pool. One member eyed the pool cautiously.
"What do suppose it is?"
"Only one way to find out." A Great Being tossed a stone in the liquid. The stone frothed and disintegrated on contact. The results were shocking, even to them.
"This… this is Energized Protodermis," whispered a shocked Great Being. "The same substance that doomed our planet." The others quickly realized this was no ordinary planet. This planet was a piece of Spherus Magna, and evidently had Energized Protodermis.
"One of us needs to remain here and guard this pool," announced their leader. "Any volunteers?" One of them stepped up and replied, "I volunteer." The leader gave his nod of approval.
"Then it is decided." He turned toward the volunteer Great Being. "You will remain here and guard this pool. Understood?" The volunteer, called Dekerex, replied,
"Understood." The leader nodded again.
"Then, let the rest of us leave." With that, they disappeared.
The Lost Legends say over the course of these years, Dekerex knew that more than one being had to watch the great pool. In response, he separated himself into seven beings, the Omega Beings, who were tasked with creating a city to build around the silver liquid. Only 10,000 years had passed when a great battle was fought for control over the city, and the Omega Being who started the war was eventually sealed away. For the next 90,000 years, the city thrived in relative peace. Until the next war had begun with a new generation of heroes, against a dangerous evil for control of the city, which is now called "Shugazoom". Although, now, they will face their greatest challenge yet…
