This story takes place after Episode 19 where Haruna saved Yohei from Poison Boma.
Milk and Cookies
Riki was in his room thinking about the day's events. His team was playing volleyball when Zulten and Poison Boma disturbed them. They fought the monster and he saw Haruna about to be attacked by the boma.
He was about to come for her when he saw Yohei push the Pink Turbo away and got poisoned instead. Since that incident, he could not help but think if the Blue ranger liked Haruna.
He admitted to himself that he was indeed jealous. The Pink Turbo really put herself in danger pretending to be bad just to save Yohei. Riki wondered if he was the one who pushed her away and got poisoned instead, would she do the same for him.
"Riki? Are you busy?", asked a voice from outside his bedroom. Sensing that it was Haruna, the Red ranger quickly opened the door for her.
He was surprised to see Haruna holding a tray of milk and cookies for him. "What is this for, Haruna?" he asked.
"Oh, I just wanted to say sorry for fighting with you earlier. I had to do it you know, so I could the antidote from Zulten. I just hope that my kicks and punches did not hurt you that much. Also, thank you for not fighting back." Haruna explained.
"It was nothing Haruna. I understand that you had to do it to save Yohei. It was all part of your plan." He took a piece of the cookie and bit in.
"This is really good, Haruna. Did you make this?" Riki said while smiling at her.
"Yes, of course. Thank you Riki". Haruna's face brightened when Riki praised her cookies.
Riki could not help it anymore. He just had to ask her right then and there if she likes the Blue Turbo. "I was just wondering, do you like Yohei?"
Haruna was taken aback by Riki's sudden questioning. "Yes. I like Yohei."
Riki looked down to hide the pained expression that was obviously seen in his face right now. "Then why don't you let him have these milk and cookies instead?! Did you come here just to let me taste test the cookies so they could perfect for Yohei?!"
"What are you talking about?!" Haruna replied.
"This." Riki pushed the tray away from him. "You should give this to Yohei instead of me if you liked him that much". Then he turned his back away from her.
He heard the tray being put down the table. "What is she still doing here?" He thought.
Suddenly, a pair of arms hugged him from behind. "You are so stupid sometimes". The pink ranger laughingly told him.
He turned around to face her when he was unexpectedly, Haruna kissed him lightly on the lips.
"If I really liked Yohei, then he should be the one eating these cookies instead, right?" Haruna asked.
"Yeah…" Riki silently answered.
"Riki! You still don't get it do you?" Haruna exclaimed. "I like Yohei, but only as a friend. The one whom I really, really like is the one whom I made these cookies for."
Riki smiled as he finally got it. But he really wanted to make sure. "Did any of the boys receive cookies from you as well?"
"No! I only made these for you. None of the boys got a cookie, not even one bite."
"So, these are just for me?" Riki asked again.
"What can I do to prove it to you?" Haruna asked exasperatedly.
"Oh! You know what…" Riki smiled slyly as he pulled Haruna for another kiss. The pink ranger did not even hesitate.
"Now, I believe you."
