Okay. Please review. This takes place on the bus ride to Regionals.
To say things weren't a bit awkward on the bus ride to regionals would make you a liar, and to say the passengers weren't nervous would make you stupid.
Will Schuester sat directly behind the driver, his feet in the aisle and his head turned to watch the actions of the twelve teenagers scattered in the seats behind him. His eyes kept flitting back to the second seat from the back. Not because of the peeling seat cover or the many holes poked through it with a pencil, but because of its occupants. Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry, male and female leads of his Glee Club. He knew how their relationship went. During the last few weeks Finn's crush on Rachel become obvious, Will had a feeling it had always been there since Don't Stop Believin'. Rachel HAD been dating Jesse St. James up until last week, but he had a feeling her feelings for Finn were still there, and yet it was so much more complex then that.
Rachel was trying to keep her eyes away from the boy next to her. She looked out the window, at the floor, anywhere besides at Finn. He had plopped down next to, they hadn't talked yet, and if they did, she was sure it would be awkward after yesterday's PDA. (A/N: I'm referring to the stairwell kiss. PDA = Public Display of Affection) Rachel jumped slightly at the sudden touch of her hand, which had been lying on the seat, palm down. Her eyes flickered to the boy beside her. His cheeks were slightly red and he was playing with his hands in his lap.
He noticed she was looking at him and spoke quietly "So…uh, about" "Yeah?" Rachel asked. She noticed a small blush creep up his face. "C-can I, um, can I kiss you?" he whispered. "If you want to" she replied, barely loud enough for him to hear. He slowly brushed a piece of hair long brown hair behind her ear. "I want to" he murmured. Their lips met for only a second, then another one and then several…
Will looked on smiling. His eyes left them to see Mercedes and Kurt taking no-flash photos with their camera phones and whispering to each other. When his eyes went back to his two leads, Rachel was bright red and Finn looked a bit dazed. Maybe they did have a shot at winning, they definitely had heart.
