Heyyyyy :3 This is my first story, I'm not sure if it's going to lead anywhere... Anyways hope you like it ;3
I find myself walking around Seattle, for no apparent reason. It's raining again, as if the sky were crying,
as is something was going on... My thoughts are interrupted by my growling stomach. I haven't eaten since
yesterday.
Why am I alone? I've been living on the streets ever since I was ten. I dont want to go into details about
my messed up past right now, so you'll have to stick around to find out.
I turn a corner into a darkly lit alley, to find a boy about my age sitting on the ground, on a black messenger
bag. He has black hair, and is wearing a black veil brides sweater. I cant see anything else in the dim light.
I decide not to make any trouble and pass him as quickly as possible. All I want to do is get to the other side,
just please don't notice me... Right as I pass him I hear a male voice...
"Aren't you cold?" I turn around to greet him, and find that he is staring back at me, his light brown eyes
staring into my hazel ones... I snap to attention, coming back into reality.
"A little..." I comment back, as I look to the crying sky, then back to his sweater. "Are you
cold?".
"Nah, my name's Chris" he says as he pulls off his sweater and hands it to me. Why was he being so nice?
No one is ever nice to me... I take the sweater from his hands, but notice zig-zag scars running up and down his
arms. Why did he offer this to me? It's obvious that he uses it to cover his arms. I look up to him hesitantly,
"Are you sure?"
He follows my stare, looking at his own scars. "Oh these? These are nothing. I was just transporting
lightning rods" He stares off into space for a second, furrowing his brown, looking as if he tasted something
bitter. I put the sweater on, thankful that I have something to protect myself. I look up into his eyes,
searching his face for loss. I would know how that would feel...
He gives me a sad smile, "Thank you" I reply back. He's staring at me too... I clear my throat. "So how
were you transporting lightning rods?"
His smile fades, "Well I need food and I don't have any parents, so I do volunteer jobs. Got paid like $20 for
that, serious crap"
I reply quietly, "I know how you feel..."
I hear him clear his throat, "So where ya heading? Seattle's a dangerous place at night," He looks to the sky
and frowns "Especially when it's raining"
"I have no idea," I reply honestly, "I don't have a roof over my head...". Realizing what he just said
I come back at him, a little anger flashing in my eyes "Hey, not that I cant defend myself".
He chuckles and puts his hands up in surrender "Hey hey, easy now. I never said you couldn't..." He's staring at
me again, what was this kid's problem? "Well, if you dont mind, I have a place we can stay for the night. Care to
join me?"
I look at him, staring into his eyes again "How do I know you're not a stalker looking for children to murder?"
He stares back and smiles, "Dude, look at me"
I look him up and down, his thin but obviously strong body, the zig-zag scars up and down his arms. He's kinda on the
tall side, but if I had to guess his age I would say about 15, my age. "Well you don't look like the child murdering type"
I allow a smile to escape my lips.
He smiles back, "Let's go".
We start to walk to the other side of the alley. Why is he doing this? Is he an abusive person? If not then why? Can
I allow trust to enter my life again?...
