As the doctor skipped into the console room, he quickly spotted Clara playing away on one of screens and he suddenly hopped towards her faster.
"Nope," He said quickly and swung her away from the control panel. "What happened to trusting me to drive her without you playing with her equiptment?" He asked crossing his arms trying to look cross which only made clara laugh.
"I wasnt changing our route or anything." She sait returning the arm fold with a smirk playing on her lips. he raised what little of an eyebrow he had and went on.
"Then what were you... really clara?" He asked turning around to see the original version of snake up on the moniter.
"What, all of time and space is waiting, so while I wait I might as well kill time. Oh and I beat your high score by the way." He looked back at her again taking his eyes of the screen.
"No you didn... How dare you. how do you even score that high? dont you break the snake or something?" His horror only made clara smile more.
"Nope. just talent." and then she smirked as the doctor started repeatedly playing snake to catch up. She walked around the console looking bored and trying to find something to do. eventually she realised all of time and space in one machine and she had nothing to do. so she then remembered that her mum always told her as long as she had someone she always had a cure for boredem, then again, her mum never met some of Claras ex boyfriends. "So," she said approching the doctor. "Remember the other day and we were talking about me, but in the year god knows what." He took his eyes of the moniter and looked her over.
"Well their are many of you in many year god knows when. specifics?"
"In the dalek." She said simply.
"Yeah I remember. why?"
"I'm just wondering how long ago was that in your time line?" She asked leaning on the console a little.
"Well, about a few hundred years. why so curious?"
"I'm just wondering, all those hundreds of years ago, how do you still remember me. and all the other amazing people who've traveled on here?"
"I never forget people. You know my brain; it's bigger on the inside." He smiled sweetly and looked at her and she looked at him and returned the smile.
"Does that go for your heart too?" she asked looking at him sincerely.
"No, I just have two. Really usefull actually. Great defence against poising." They both smiled the doctor returned to his snake game. Clara walked around the console again looking at the moniters all around.
"So doctor, if you are so smart," she asked looking into the monitor screen a small smirk on her face. "Why are we about to crash into a lake?"
I'm terrible at fluff. this all came from an idea of the doctor being cocky about his brain size and clara being all we're crashing, but lauren made me write. Be sure to check her fanfiction because her stories are so cute and they are proper fluff.
