The park was empty the day her life changed. The wind was blowing
gently yet strongly and was pushing the swings up and down.
"wow" she spoke as she entered. The park was small and old and the
toys were starting to rust but was yet somehow beautiful. Framing this
mysterious park were trees and a huge field "How had nobody noticed
this before" she thought. She was stood in the same spot and didn't
notice when her family friends son walked into the park as well.
"Kayla? Is that you?"
She jumped as she heard her name and spun around.
"Jamie? Oh erm.. Hi"
The girl and boy hadn't seen each other in years and had missed the
awkward changes of puberty though they're old friend. They used to be
so relaxed around each other but now things suddenly seemed awkward.
"Erm.. Kayla, what are you doing here?" his expression was suprised
yet amused.
"I was just walking, I stumbled across here...do you come Here often?"
"Actually, yeah.." he seemed embarrised, didn't she like it here?
"wow, this place is beautiful" she admitted embarrised also.
She stood staring at him, how long had it been since they last met? He
had seemed to had changed so much. His use to be short stubby hair
that made him seems small and childish was now in a surfer type look
that made him seem older and mature and kinda good looking she
addmitted sheepishly.
He was staring at her also, her features had also changed, her once
rounded face was now angular and her eyes stood out like emeralds.
She turned embarrised, trying to redgister with the feelngs going
through her. She stood staring again in amazment.
"erm...Jamie.. I thought I should let you know..."
She felt another hand wrap around hers, it was strangely comforting.
"it's fine..shh"
He put his finger to her lips and they turned and stood facing the
park and she knew this would be a place she will remember for the rest
of eternity.
