Full, unedited summary:

When seventeen-year-old Ella Swank moves to Transylvania with her dad, she doesn't expect any sort of excitement. And really, there isn't much. She has a few friends—like chatty Bianca and reserved Evangela, but everything else is just weird and foreign. Especially Drake Stoker, the English hottie who loves to stare at Ella. After getting to know Drake, Ella begins to suspect something deeper runs within his angelic exterior. But that's mostly because he has the sharpest incisors she's ever seen. Like, ever.

New story! Warning: I am not the best updater, mostly because I have to be in the writing mood to write specific stories. Hopefully, I can keep this one coming.

Thanks!

Prologue: Dracula

I've never been one to believe in fairytales.

Scratch that—I've never been one to even like fairytales. What a waste it seemed to sit on your butt, reading about people and things that didn't exist. So that's why it completely threw me when mom handed me Bram Stoker's Dracula right before I boarded the plane.

"What's this?" I asked, waving it around.

"That's one novel I read in high school, when I was about your age. It was very helpful."

I knew vaguely what it was, so that made this even more confusing. "Isn't this about vampires?"

"Somewhat. It's about other things, too."

"...like?"

She paused. "I'll get back to you on that. Bye, Ella. Have a good time!"

I sighed and gave her a one-armed hug. It wasn't unusual for my mother to be a bit sporadic, but this was an all-time low (high?) for her. I shoved the book in my backpack.

That's where it stayed, forgotten, for the next month and a half.
