Disclaimer: I do not own Criminal Minds in any way shape or form. (Unless you count in fantasy, but I doubt that would hold up in court)

A/N This is my first CM fic, so please keep that in mind while reading…

"Why is it that every decently read 'ladies-man' out there thinks a woman will just melt if he quotes Romeo and Juliet to her?" Emily Prentiss was speaking aloud in the break room, while pouring a cup of coffee, not really caring if anyone was listening.

"Romeo and Juliet is supposed to be the greatest romance of all time. Are you saying you disagree with that general consensus?" Spencer Reid said without looking up from dumping sugar into his coffee.

"No, I'm just slick of every slick guy out there quoting it as a compliment and thinking she'll just fall head-over-heels for him!" She stirred her cup violently. "it doesn't even make sense in real life!"

"Well what if you made it make sense? Would you have a problem with: Oh she doth teach the florescent light bulbs to burn in a way that they make people look less washed out?" She glared at him. "It was a joke Emily. I actually make a joke and you don't appreciate it." She sighed.

"I'm sorry Reid; I'm just in a mood today."

"I'm assuming you had a date that didn't go to well?" Emily nodded. "To these violent delights there are violent ends." She laughed at that one.

"It wasn't exactly violent, or delightful. And actually, I don't want to talk about it any more. Thanks for listening to me rant a bit." She picked up her cup and turned to leave.

"Any time," he said as she walked out. "Hark, what light over yonder break-room door leaves? It is the west and Emily is the sun!"

"Shut up Reid!"
