A/N: Because this little kids' book is just so adorable. Yes, I'm still working on 'O-Cha!'. Never fear!

Disclaimer: Don't own the book, don't own FFVII. FFVII and the book, however, own.

Are You my Mother?

Jenova sat by the bed.

The sheets moved.

"Oh oh!" said Jenova. "My baby is waking up! He will want to eat."

"I must get something for my baby to eat!" she said. "I will be back!"

So away she went.

-

The sheets moved. They moved and shuffled and yawned!

Out came Kadaj!

"Where is my mother?" he said.

He looked for her.

He looked up. He did not see her.

He looked down. He did not see her.

"I will go and look for her," he said.

So away he went.

-

Out of the house he went.

Out out out! It was a long way to walk.

Kadaj could not fly. ((x3 lol))

He could not fly but he could walk. "Now I will go and find my mother," he said.

-

He did not know what his mother looked like. He went right by her. He did not see her.

He went to Yazoo. "Are you my Mother?" he said to Yazoo.

Yazoo just looked and blinked at him and kept on polishing his gun. He did not say a thing.

Yazoo was not his mother so he went on.

-

Then he went to Loz. "Are you my mother?" he said to Loz. "No," said Loz, who was sparring with Rude.

Yazoo was not his mother. Loz was not his mother. So Kadaj went on.

"I have to find my mother!" he said. "But where? Where is she? Where could she be?"

-

Then he went to Rufus. "Are you my mother?" he said to Rufus.

"I am not your mother. I am the President of the ShinRa Company." said Rufus, smiling from under the sheet.

Yazoo was not his mother. Loz was not his mother. Rufus was not his mother.

So Kadaj went on. Next he went to Tseng. "Are you my mother?" he said to Tseng.

"How can I be your mother?" said Tseng, closing up his cellphone. "I am a Turk."

-

Yazoo and Loz were not his mother. Rufus and Tseng were not his mother.

Did he have a mother?

"I did have a mother," Kadaj said. "I know I did. I have to find her. I will. I will!"

-

Now Kadaj did not walk. He ran! Then he saw Vincent at the Mako Cavern. Could Vincent be his mother? No, he could not.

Kadaj did not stop. He ran on and on.

-

Now he looked out, out into the street. He saw Cloud on his motorcycle Fenrir. "There she is!" said Kadaj.

He called out to Cloud, but Cloud did not stop. Cloud went on.

-

Then he looked up, way up. He saw Cid piloting the Shera. "Here I am mother," he called out. But the Shera did not stop. The Shera went on.

Just then Kadaj saw a very tall man with long silver hair. This must be his mother! "There she is!" he said. "There is my mother!"

-

He ran right up to the man with the long silver hair and hugged him. "Mother! Mother! Here I am, mother!" he said to the tall man with the long silver hair.

The tall man just looked at him, and in the background, choruses sang "Sephiroth!"

"Oh, you are not my mother," said Kadaj. "You are the Great General Sephiroth! I have to get out of here!"

But Kadaj could not get away. Sephiroth picked him up. Kadaj was small, so he seemed to go way up high. He closed his eyes.

But now where was Sephiroth going? "Oh, oh, oh! Where is he taking me? Get me out of here!"

Just then, Sephiroth came to a halt.

-

"Where am I?" said Kadaj. "I want to go home! I want my mother!"

Then something happened. Sephiroth tucked Kadaj right back in bed. Kadaj was home.

Just then Jenova came back home. "Do you know who I am?" She said to Kadaj.

"Yes, I know who you are," said Kadaj. "You are not Yazoo, you are not Loz, you are not Rufus, you are not Tseng, you are not Cloud on Fenrir, or Cid in the Shera, or the Great General Sephiroth!"

"You are Jenova, and you are my mother."
