A fanfiction for Suliet fans – as always.
Sawyer's doing the dishes for Juliet, but breaks one on the floor. Uh oh!
Sawyer was drying the dishes, wishing that he could be outside on a day like today. Curse Mother Nature for making it so damn sunny. Instead, Juliet had asked him to clean the house while she was gone. So here he was, drying the dishes, what he considers to be a "woman's job."
Suddenly his fingers slipped from beneath him. The plate he was holding slipped from his grasp, and fell to the floor where it broke into a million tiny pieces.
"Son of a BITCH!" Sawyer yelled. Cursing, he tried to gather some of the pieces together, only to find that it was impossible. He looked around in despair, wondering how the hell he was going to tell Juliet.
He cast his mind around, trying to remember what Juliet had used it for. He vaguely remembered her using it to hold the bread plate at one of the parties, and her mentioning that it was really special. Sawyer groaned as he imagined her reaction.
Well, he was about to find out as at that moment, Juliet walked in and saw him crouched around the shattered plate. She started.
"James, what happened?" she asked.
"Damn plate broke. No chance in hell I'm doing the dishes again." He muttered.
"What plate was it?" Juliet asked.
Sonuvabitch, Sawyer thought. "Oh, just one of the...ones that...you serve stuff with." He said pathetically.
Juliet looked at the pieces. "Crap." She stated. "It was the one with the bread on it at the party right?"
"Well, you did serve stuff in it..." he said. "Look, Blondie, I'm sorry, I didn't mean too.." He trailed off.
Juliet closed her eyes. "James, it wasn't our plate. I borrowed it from Amy."
"...and it just suddenly, slipped, and – "
"James!" Juliet said. "Did you hear me?"
"Huh?" said Sawyer.
"It was Amy's plate, not ours."
Sawyer was silent.
"And now, James, you're going to apologize," said Juliet, shoving him out the door, despite his protests.
Sawyer groaned. He walked to Amy's house. He took a deep breath, and knocked four times.
Horace answered the door. "Jim," he said.
"Hey, um, could I see Amy, if she's in?" Sawyer said nervously.
"Yeah, come on in..." Horace beckoned for him to come in.
Sawyer walked down the hallway.
Five minutes later, Sawyer opened the door to his own house. Juliet was waiting for him. At his expression, her eyes tightened.
"She was pissed," guessed Juliet.
"Sonuvabitch," grumbled Sawyer.
"She was pissed," Juliet sighed knowingly.
So, you can imagine his reaction when Juliet asked him to do the dishes next week. There was the slamming of doors, and above that noise, everybody within a hundred meters could hear the yelling of Sawyer – "SONUVABITCH!!!!!!!!!!"
Retarded, I know I could've made it a lot better, but I just had to get the idea out of my head.
