LET'S DANCE
Let's dance
Let's dance
Sirius' hand rested on James' hip as the other held fast to hisboyfriend's. James' fingers were lightly running across the smooth skin of Sirius' neck. Not a lot of boys danced this way, even the ones with boyfriends and lovers. Not a lot of boys danced together. But Sirius and James weren't a lot of boys.
Let's dance, for fear your grace should fall
Let's dance, for fear tonight is all
Somewhere in the distance Bellatrix was laughing at the pair with her friends. A few boys were making less than pleasant comments from their table, but Sirius' lips found James forehead and nothing mattered.
Lily and Remus were dancing off to the side, laughing, but it was nothing like the dance their friends shared. There was something so intense about a dance so many people hated, a dance so many people looked down upon.
James tilted his head and lightly kissed Sirius on the lips. "I love the way you dance."
Let's sway, you could look into my eyes
Let's sway, under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
They went outside after the song ended, Sirius in need of a cigarette and James in need to be with his boyfriend. They walked past the bushes were other couples were professing love and lust, past the tree where they usually sat, down to the lake. A beautiful crescent moon shone out over the waters, reflecting back up to itself as if it were a giant mirror.
Sirius reached for his pocket where he kept his cigarettes, but James took his hands. Slowly, they touched, hand on hip, hand to hand, hand on neck. Slowly they kissed, no words needing to be spoken.
And slowly, ever so slowly, they fell to the ground.
And if you say run, i'll run with you
And if you say hide, we'll hide
Ever so slowly, only able to see each other through the moonlight, clothes were discarded, cast aside. The power of seeing each other in their full and complete beauty became obvious.
And they had nothing to ease the act that they knew was to come, but somehow . . . someway . . . it didn't matter . . .
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
Thrusting, staring into the eyes of the man who loved him, Sirius silently cried.
Moaning, trying not to break the eye contact that seemed to matter more to his lover than the actual deed, James reached up to wipe Sirius' tears.
Climax soon followed, but for once that didn't matter. What mattered was laying there afterwards watching the smoke Sirius blew into the air and clinging tightly to each other.
If you should fall
Into my arms
Inside, after they had fixed themselves up by their reflection in the mirror-lake, they held each other again, swaying slightly to the music.
And tremble like a flower
"I love you."
