England walked in the front door of the apartment he shared with his boyfriend America, "I'm home! That bloody wanker Frog was being as annoying as always. Trying to get my vital regions..." England trailed off as he walked into the living room. "You got ice cream and didn't save me any?"

America was sitting on the couch, eating a bowl of ice cream while watching television. "Your share is in the freezer," he said and looked at him. His startling blue eyes were wide from watching tv too long.

England walked to the kitchen and opened the ice box. Inside was several frozen foods, and the ice cream. He picked up the container, it was remarkably light. England sighed, he didn't know how many times he had told America to stop putting empty containers back in the ice box. As he removed it and was about to put it in the trash, he heard a rattling sound inside the container.

England opened it and looked inside. The inside was completely clean, except for a diamond ring inside. He took out the ring, set the container and lid on the counter, and went into the other room. "America! Look!" America stood and walked over to him.

"What?"

"Fairies ate the rest of the ice cream and left a ring in compensation!" England looked excited as he held up the ring for America to see.

America took the ring, and England's hand. He slipped the ring onto England's ring finger and placed a light kiss on his lips. "I guess I can use it then. Will you marry me?"

England blushed and hugged him, "Of course!"

In the other room, the ice cream container lay forgotten. There, written in black sharpie, were two words. "Marry me?"
