Ice Cubes? Cheese Strings?

Summary: N/C. This idea kind of came to me. The team over-hears Nick and Catherine talking in the break room one day.

One normal day in the Las Vegas Crime Lab. That is, until a little hearing mishap came into the picture. Gil Grissom was walking towards the break room to give assignments, but it seemed a little weird when he noticed the door was locked and all the blinds where closed.

"No Nick! Not yet!" Catherine exclaimed. Breathing very hard.

"Oh, come on Cath! It's just an experiment!"

Grissom's mouth dropped, they couldn't really be doing that. Could they?

"Nick! Do you remember what happened last time I did this?" Catherine exclaimed again.

'Is she talking about Lindsey?' Grissom thought.

Since the door was locked and he couldn't get it open, he pressed his ear against the door. Just then Warrick and Sara came by and saw the supervisor kneelng on the floor with his ear pressed to the door.

"Griss, may we ask what the hell you are doing?" Warrick questioned.

"Shh. Come here." He motioned to the door. So they both pressed there ears to the door.

"What are we doing?" Asked Sara.

"SSSSSShhhh! Hold on!" exclaimed Grissom.

Back in the breakroom Nick said, "Okay, yes, I remember. Can I just put the ice cubes in and see if we can make an explosion?"

This time Warrick's mouth dropped.

"Fine! Put them in! Just hurry before the team gets here!"

Back outside the door Sara asked, "What...are...they...doing?"

Grissom and Warrick both pressed their ears back to the door.

"Relax Catherine! It won't hurt you. Ready for the cheese strings?"

"Oh my GOD!" Warrick yelled. "This is messed up!"

"Shut up Warrick!" Sara yelled.

"Nick..oh Nick..IT'S GONNA BLOW!" Catherine yelled and then let out a mind-blowing scream.

"Okay," started Grissom. "On my count we kick open the door. 1..2..3!"

Just then all three of them kicked open the door.

And there was Catherine in a tank top and shorts and Nick in a fitted tee shirt and jeans. To anyone else it would have looked very bad, but you would have to see the volcano sitting on the table behind them both.

"What?" Catherine and Nick asked in unison.

"What the hell were you guys doing?" Warrick asked.

"We were helping Lindsey with her science project." Catherine said.

"Why isn't she here then?" Sara questioned.

"Becuase she didn't want me to help, but I wanted to show her what an awesome science project I could do, so I asked Nick to help me."

"Why didn't you want us to know?" Grissom asked.

"Because we were afraid you guys would tell Lindsey." Nick replied. "Why? What do you think we were doing?"

Grissom, Warrick and Sara all stared at the ground.

"Wait," started Catherine, "You thought we where doing the...horizantal tango? Are you guys nuts?"

Just then the volcano rumbeled and exploded. Pretty soon they where all covered in watery cheese.

While Griss, Warrick and Sara went to the locker room to change, Nick said. "Ya know, Cheese strings and ice cubes might not be a bad idea."

Catherine replied, "You read my mind."

They got into the Denali and rode of to Nick's house.
