We've been together for nearly a year now. When we met at my video shoot in april last year I instinctively felt save within is presence. Knowing I had someone to lean on, to help me through such a hard time, made me so much stronger. For some time my path wasn't easy to follow but Matthew seemed to be the light at the end of the tunnel for me. He showed me a way out of the darkness and I will forever be thankful for that. He's been here for me the past year and I hope he will stay by my side much longer than that.

Last night we celebrated our first Valentine's Day together. I still have a week of filming Glee left, therefor we couldn't really do much. At least I thought we couldn't.

When I came home around 7PM from an exhausting and sad day of shooting some scenes from the very last episode, Matthew was already waiting. He was dressed up in black suit pants with a nice-looking blue shirt. "What are you up to?", I asked carefully, trying not to focus on how handsome he looked in those clothes. "There's a dress lying on the bed, waiting for you to put it on.", was his only reply. Knowing I wouldn't get a real answer to my question, I made my way through the house, finally landing in our white bedroom. Indeed there was a beautiful looking dress on the bed, one I haven't seen before. Secretly smiling to myself I striped out of my work clothes, turned to my dresser for some tights and put on the new black dress. After a look in the mirror I applied some mascara onto my eyelashes. Ten minutes later I exited the bedroom, finding Matthew sitting on the couch, waiting for me and watching some random sports show on the TV.

"Are you going to tell what you're up to? I thought we agreed to not go out and just chill around the house?", my question came with a little smile on my lips because I inwardly hoped we could do something on our first Valentine's Day, something that contained a nice dinner and maybe a stroll through the streets. "You really thought I wouldn't take you out to dinner? On our first Valentine's Day as a couple? Baby, I really thought you knew me better than that.", a little smirk accompanied his answering words. My smile turned into a gigantic grin while some unintelligible noises came out of my throat. Matthew's laugh only grew louder when he saw my expression and he wrapped his arms around my frame just in time because I threw myself around his neck in no time. Even though I was only 5'2 tall I had an enormous strength that some people could underestimate. I could feel his nose nuzzling my hair and my eyes closed slowly, trying to savor the moment for as long as possible. We were still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship and because of our jobs we weren't able to see each other as often as we wanted to, even though we lived together. Matthew's hand caressed my upper back lately while his other arm was wrapped around my lower half, pressing me right against his hard chest. "Thank you for doing this.", I whispered after pressing a light kiss to his neck. "You don't have to thank me, Lee. Anything to see you smile.", came his answer softly and muffled through my hair he was still nuzzling. "We gotta go though, we have reservations for 8." Reluctantly I loosened my grip on him but only so I could take his hand and lace my fingers through his.
