"Make a move."

"What?"

The man next to the Doctor smirked up at him, tossing back his blonde hair. "That's your friend there, yeah?" he asked, pointing a long, pale finger towards Clara Oswald.

"Best friend," the Doctor grinned proudly as his eyesight followed the man's finger over to Clara. She was intently studying movies that were on the shelf, she was under the weather and he'd promised her that this Wednesday, instead of travelling about, he'd take her to the largest movie store in the world - all the films from the first to the latest one in the year 8085.

"Make a move on her." The man suggested, grin fading a bit. "I can tell you want to."

The Doctor turned maroon. "Who are you to tell me that?"

"Your eyes say it all, my man." The blonde man laughed, his Boston accent growing thicker. "The way you look at her, I'm not saying jump her or nothing -" he laughed when the Doctor paled "but come on, ask her out. Give her a kiss. Something."

"A...kiss?" the Doctor asked, voice faint as he adjusted his bowtie nervously, not tearing his glance from Clara."

"A kiss," the man confirmed. "Since you're already out on a date -"

"Not a date," the Doctor corrected. The man waved his hand flippantly.

"Just kiss her already. Betcha she'll kiss you back, you ain't too bad looking yourself." the man winked before sauntering off, humming something under his breath, a tune the Doctor couldn't place. The doctor glared at his receding back, frown deepening. Kiss Clara? Why would he want to kiss Clara?

Okay, maybe she was pretty, and kind, and intriguing, and witty, and smart, and brave, and...did he mention pretty? But none of those things meant he wanted to kiss Clara Oswald, they just meant that he -

"Ready?" A voice sounded behind him, accompanied by a soft sniffle. He turned around, nose to nose - er nose to chest, she was a good few inches shorter than him - with Clara. "I got a movie." She held up a copy of the Little Mermaid, which the Doctor had to hide a grimace at - all the movies in the universe and she picked Disney? - and sniffled again.

"Yep," he said cheerfully, trying to ignore the fact that he could now place the tune the blonde man had been humming.

Kiss the Girl.
Of course.
