Summary: A missing scene that never made it to the episode, as it was cut on the final cutting board.The three talk about Brennan's Book while waiting for rat poop. When something comes up they must go to Plan B.

BONES- Bodies in the Book

17. Int Medico-Legal Lab

Focus on the rat is still in the clear tube. There is a cage full of Rats on the table. Widens to reveal Hodgins and Zack still in the room waiting. Cam pops her head in.


Cam:
Why are you still waiting here?

Hodgins (duh):
To see a rodent poop out a bullet?

Cam:
Still? It should have happened by now; those were powerful laxatives I fed them.

Hodgins:
I guess we have to x-ray it again; all its other little friends seem to have no problem going.

Zack:
His name is Pinky.

Hodgins:
Wait you named it?

Zack:
I saw a documentary…

Hodgins:
Again, that was a cartoon.

Zack realizes his mistakes and mouths an 'o', going back to looking at the rat that is squirming in the cage.


Zack: And that one is Ratsputin, and the one over there is Eratsmus.

Hodgins and Cam is looking at the x-ray on screen. Ignoring Zack.


In Unison:
(looks at each other)
Oh no…

Zack:
(looks up in surprise)
What?

Hodgins:
(puts on his gloves)
Let's just say, warm bubble bath for Pinky. Plan B.

Zack is performing his procedure, He has all his material set up and is ready to start.


Hodgins:
So Zack, since you read the book. What did you think about the scene in the back of AMG. It was Hot wasn't it?

Zack:
Dr. Brennan wouldn't approve of us talking about her vivid sexual imagination.

Cam raises her eyebrows, seeming intrigued. Zack continues, as he pour warm water into the container, seeming slightly distracted.


Hodgins:
You're just embarrassed.

Zack:
I… it's just inappropriate, no matter how colorful that imagination may be.

Zack quickly goes back to pouring the water. Hodgins chuckles under his breath, as he kneels down, coming eye level to the rat with the bullet in the glass tube.


Hodgins:
Any day now.

Cam:
About Brennan's Book…

Hodgins:
(raises up)
Intrigued?

Cam:
(Sounding oddly uncertain)
Well kind off.

Hodgins walks over to a desk a few feet away, and grabs the book.


Hodgins (to Cam):
Here, take a read. You'll never look at Dr. Brennan the same way again. (He grins)

Zack:
I got it.

Cam:
What?
(Turns around, she is now looking at Zack- who shes see holding
the bullet in between a pair of tweezers)

Zack:
The bullet.

Angela is standing right behind Zack and she is revealed as camera circles to the right. Who had been standing there quite a while.


Angela:
Can I say ew again?
(smiles)
So Mr. Symbolism what does Reich's relationship
with FBI agent symbolize again?

(Grins)

Everyone looks towards her direction. Hodgins doesn't say a word, but eyes Angela, as they share a glance, he is left speechless.

A/N: I can't take full credit for it as I used a few modified lines from the sides (2 lines) that were not used in the actual episode. I was actually disappointed that they didn't include it, hence this. I hope nobody thought this was real.
