DISCLAIMER

Got the idea while watching the episode "Falling Up" for the zillionth time. I own nothing. This is all property of Fox Kids. And I know some of it may not be true to Shelby's character, but I think she probably would've been a little excited to be back at Horizon.

When I first walked into the office, Sophie was shocked. Then, she hugged me.

"Oh. Ow. You're squeezing kind of hard," I told her.

"I know. Isn't it great?" she responded. Yeah, it was.

"You want all the gory details?" I asked her.

"Oh, you bet," Sophie replied. "But not right now. Let's wait for Peter." Peter. The captain. I could hardly wait to see him. I know, I know. Shelby Merrick wants to the director of Mt. Horizon? But it was true. He had been my rock. The one thing that had kept me sane enough to call the police on Walt when I learned that he had lied to me about not touching Jess. We went back to the Cliffhangers girls' dorm, where I put all my stuff back into the spot that had been mine. I flopped onto my bed spread my body over the covers.

"MMMM! Oh, my own bed. This feels so good," I moaned blissfully. Then, I sat up and gave a little bounce.

"Yay!" I cheered. Sophie laughed at my exuberance. We went to visit Peter, but he seemed to be kind of out of it, so we cut the visit short. As we headed out to the lodge, we could hear a jouncy tune being played. That could only be one person: Scott. My stomach knotted. Scott and I had been on shaky terms lately from what Daisy told me in a letter, he had been pretty upset that I had left without telling him goodbye. Suddenly, Juliette let out a squeal.

"Ha ha. I don't believe it!" she exclaimed. The next thing I knew, she had bounded over and thrown her arms around me. I flinched back a little, taken off-guard. I mean, this was Queenie. She and I hate each other. However, it was nice to know that she had missed me. Auggie was the next one to give me a hug. He was soon followed by most of the other Cliffhangers. I looked at Daisy.

"Well, wouldn't you know it? The cat came back," she drawled. I threw her one of my famous looks. Then, she came up and hugged me. Scott stood up from the piano bench and walked forward. For a moment, our eyes locked and we just stared. He stared at me with such intensity, like he wasn't sure what to think. I walked up to him. We stared at each other some more. Then, we hugged. And it was then that I knew it. I was back home.
