I walk onto the arena battlefield across from me is a trainer who also comes from my hometown of Pallet. He was a bit tall for his age dressed in a red jacket and a red and white blank baseball cap I stare nervously at the crowd seeing one of my best friends in the world and my traveling companion since day one, Leesha sitting near Professor Oak, She waved and yelled "Good luck down there, Andy" I nod to her as My opponent throws a Pokeball shouting "Go Poli" A Poliwrath shot from the pokeball. I threw a pokeball "Let's show em how its done, Primape" My most trusted Primape shooting from the ball
"Poli use ice beam" the trainer yelled large shards of ice shot from the swirl on Poliwrath's chest.
"Primape Furyswipes to send them right back at him" Primape leaped into the air, cutting at all the shards with her hidden claws and sending them back at Poliwrath, Who blocked all of his own shards but one which hit him square in the chest. Poliwrath began falling down as I called back my Primape which decided rather than going into her pokeball to lean on the wall behind me until she was needed to assist me I called out my Venusaur as Poliwrath got up
"Poli, Use Mega Kick" Poliwrath's foot hit Venusaur right in the mouth, Venusaur Growled and Clamped its mouth onto Poliwrath's leg Spinning around dizzly and letting go of the Trainer's Poliwrath hurling it into the wall behind the trainer, The trainer sends "Poli" back to its pokeball and grins.
"Ok, Andy"he said speaking directly to me "For defeating my Poli you get to find out my name you see Andy, I dissapeared years ago I once lived in the same house you do now"
"H-how do you know which house i live in?" i managed a bit freaked out.
"Because I've been watching you to see if you're worthy to fight me after all I'm-"
The Alarm clock woke me from my mysterious dream I looked out my window and could have sworn I saw a shadow in my front yard staring at the sign I blinked and the shadow rippled vanishing.i sighed getting dressed in my blue T-shirt putting on my red jacket heading out the door to Professor Oak's Lab tightening my all black gloves as I shut the door behind me. I run to Oak's Lab as a Meowth tries to pounce on my shoelaces. I sigh as I notice it following and pets it picking it up it purrs in my arms. I walked into Oaks Lab. Professor Oak smiled I walked up to him
"Well Oak I'm here to get the Starter that you requested I take with me besides my Mankey"
he Nods to the table which sadly only had one last pokeball on it but I'm ok with it because I knew that would happen after all I was running a little late I grabbed the ball.
"So in that pokeball is a Bulbasaur," Oak said to me "I have another gift for you" He handed me a small red computer device "that is a Pokedex it is stored with the data of all the pokemon in the area thanks to a few friends of mine whom I have lost contact with years ago; say, I hear you like a challenge, yes?"
I nod "who doesn't?"
"Well I think you Should Enter the Indigo league Challenge"
"Indigo League Challenge?"
"Yes all trainers compete from all over the world in league challenge all said trainers have to do is gain at least 8 badges in the region of the challenge and show them to the indigo official at the indigo plateau and face the regions best in a great and lengthy tournament"
"Sounds Awesome I'll do it!", I said abit too excitedly Running off to grab Manky and my stuff for my journey….
