He knew that when he decided to date Fuji Syuusuke that he would have to put up with a lot. However, that extended over quite a bit of territory that made him often wonder why he even stuck with the tensai. He had endured several moments of pain mixed with pleasure, mostly the result of Fuji's sadistic side. There were times when he was proud of his boyfriend and other times where he wished that he didn't know the other.

It was a constant back and forth feeling that had made him stop and examine their relationship. Most of it was based off Fuji's whims and wanting to try and embarrass him in every way imaginable. It was frustrating that they could rarely have a serious conversation or even express his feelings. Every time he wanted to say "I love you" to his boyfriend, the topic would get changed and he was left to brood over his thoughts.

There were times where he had seriously thought about breaking up with the sadist, but he had stuck through it all in hopes that Fuji would realize that he was not going to leave him any time soon. To his dismay though, the other acted oblivious to everything else that went on in their relationship. He decided that putting up with three years of that was enough. He knew that he was in love. He just had no idea of how Fuji felt.

Of course, since it was Fuji that he was dealing with, that meant that the topic didn't come up very often. He heard the door to the roof open and close. It was easier to have a relationship now that both of them were in the same school. However, just because it was easier did not mean that they had a better relationship.

"Sorry I'm late, Ryoma."

"No need to apologize," he said quietly. Fuji bent down and kissed him gently before sitting across from him. He stared at his boyfriend and watched as the other started to eat lunch. He had no appetite. All he could think about was how to express his feelings to Fuji.

"Are you all right, Ryoma?"

"Fine," he said, "Just thinking."

"About what?"

"Us."

The other stopped eating and stared at him with open cerulean eyes. He sighed. There was no easy way to put this, but it was now or never.

"Syuusuke," he started. He was unsure if he would get his point across. "I think it's time that we stop this game."

The other frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"You know what I mean," he continued. "You…you don't take me seriously. I'm your boyfriend, but most of the time I feel like I'm just someone you like to torture than your actual boyfriend. We never talk about our future or even if we love each other. Even if I try to bring it up, you don't want to talk about it and try to distract me."

Fuji remained silent. He bit his lip. Had he been too harsh? Was Fuji going to break up with him? He tried to calm himself down.

"Ryoma, how do you feel about me?"

"I love you, Syuusuke."

There was silence between them.

"You say that we're still playing a game, right Ryoma?"

"Yes."

"I stopped playing a long time ago. I thought that you were afraid of commitment so I…I continued playing it. I love you as well, Ryoma."

Soft lips pressed over his own. It was the most loving kiss that he had every shared with the tensai. He could sense all the feelings that his boyfriend had through that one kiss and that's when he knew that they were no longer playing. What they had between them was real and that was everything he ever wanted.
