Written for the Journey through Hogwarts Challenge. The Letter b: If you were raised in a wizarding family, write a drabble under 200 words about someone who is anxious about something.

Word count: 200 exactly.

Author's Note: Any Harry Potter drabble that I write under 500 words will be put in this collection because it's just easier that way.


She finds him in an abandon classroom on the fifth floor. "You chickened out," she says, flicking red hair out of green eyes. "Why?"

The blonde haired boy continues to stare out of the window. "Sometime you'll learn that not everything's worth the risk Lily."

"And something's are," she says taking his hand. "This is one of them."

"But what if it's not? What if I lose him?" The stars are shinning in his eyes and Lily has never seen her cousin look so lost.

"And what if you don't? Nothing ventured nothing gained. I believe your mother said that a time or two."

"That was about broccoli. This is different."

"It's not though. Just tell him you like him and you want to get a butterbeer with him next Hogsmead's trip. It's not that hard."

"Lily-"

"I will drag you," she interrupts shoving him towards the door. "Just ask him because if you don't you'll always wonder what if. It's better to know the answer than to assume it's a no.

Louis walks out of the room of his own freewill and Lily prays to a deity that she's never believed in that he doesn't get his heart broken.
