Okay, this is my first Legally Blonde fanfiction, even though I've been obsessed with the musical for about a year. I really only have a general idea of where this story is going, so if you have any ideas feel free to message me enjoy!
December 15th, a blonde woman is running, panicked, throughout her small east Cambridge apartment, yelling out to her boyfriend as she does so. "Okaaaaaay, okay, okay, okay…" she mumbles as she runs into her and her boyfriend's bedroom, and drops her arm full of clothing on the floor. She digs through the pile and brings out a cute pink dress. "Okay, Emmet, how about this one?" Her boyfriend, Emmet Forrest, groaned from his place on the bed.
"It's perfect Elle, now can we go to bed?" She gasped and smacked his leg.
"Emmet! You didn't even look at it!" His head slowly came up from the mattress and stared blankly at the dress.
"Like I said, it's perfect." And he dropped his head back down. Elle dropped the dress with a groan, and fell down beside him on the bed.
"I'm sorry for putting you through this…it's just; I want to make a good impression. I don't want your mother to think her wonderful honor roll sun is getting married to some blonde bimbo from California." Emmet turned his head to look at her and took her hand.
"Elle, listen to me. My mother is an amazing woman, and so are you. She won't judge you based on what you wear, you could show up in you pajamas and she wouldn't care, in fact it might even make her like you better than if you showed up in a fancy dress." She looked up at him.
"So…you're saying I shouldn't try so hard" He smiled and kissed her head.
"I'm saying you don't have to, you're perfect no matter what you wear. She doesn't form opinions on looks" He wiped under her eye with his thumb. "However, she might judge you a little bit if you show up for Christmas dinner with dark circles under your eyes." Elle giggled and swatted his hand away.
"Fine, we can go to bed now" He smiled at her, then flipped over and crawled under the blankets.
"Great, be a dear and turn the lights off." His fiancée sighed and flipped the lamp switch, engulfing the room in darkness before climbing into bed herself, not a single fear having left her head about the day to come.
