Overworked Big Brother
Brock let out a tired groan as he sat at the kitchen table between his two four year old sister's watching them doing their homework. The shouts and screams from his brothers and sisters around him hit Brock like nails on a chalk board as he rubbed his tired eyes.
"Is this alright big brother?" Daisy asked innocently as she pointed to the spot between her words, "Is that how much space I have to leave? The teacher said to leave a finger space between each word."
"That looks fine to me Daisy," Brock replied as he blinked a few times as his vision swam in and out of focus due to the pounding headache he was suffering from, "How about you Lily?"
"I did it correct!" Lily replied proudly with a large smile on her face as she held up her homework for Brock to see, "We done now, can we go and play?"
"Can we big brother?" Daisy asked echoing her twin sister's words, "We have finished all our homework!"
"Alright, put your homework in your bags for tomorrow before you go and play," Brock answered while wondering if he could cope with the extra headache of ordering Pizza for tea so he would not have to cook that night.
The noise level around him increased in volume as Brock's siblings finished their homework and began to play with their brothers and sisters. With bags the size of a Pokeball under his eyes Brock followed his arms on the table and placed his head on top of them, enjoying the relaxing darkness.
A low groan fell from Brock's lips as his arms blocked out the noise slightly and the darkness rested his tired eyes making the young man feel slightly better as his Pokecentre sized headache slowly began to reduce in size. With the knowledge that his brothers and sisters would be alright for an hour or two until he had to begin making the evening meal Brock allowed himself to slowly drift off into a light snooze and relax.
A few minutes later through the voice of Brock's brother, Thomas, broke Brock out of his calm and relaxed state.
"Brock, Mazy has just thrown up all over the floor!" Thomas complained bringing Brock's headache straight back full blast, "It was Mark's and Fred's fault! They where spinning her around too fast!"
It was days like this that Brock wished his mother and father would return home.
The End.
