Arashi: This is a request oneshot for Queen Hobbit22 wanting Kagome/Ren. The idea came to me and it gone more on its own.

First Glance

Summary: At a first glance between two strangers and it seems to be almost like love at first sight or rather that's how Karin sees it when Kagome and her older brother first meet.

Walking with her older brother Ren, Karin sighs about to make a comment when she turns to look at him finding he has his eyes on something or rather someone. In the distance, a raven hair girl with warm brown eyes waves and calls out Karin's name. Karin smiles as she waves back happy to see her friend who her brother hasn't meet yet.

"Who is that?" she heard her brother said almost in a trance.

"Kagome," She said as Kagome walks over to the two Maaka siblings. "Hey Kagome, how you been?"

"Alright, just looking for a job," Kagome reply as her eyes meet the tall older brother and her heart skips a beat.

Gold and brown eyes stare unable to look away. A challenge look in the golden eyes seems to dare the brown ones to look away. A smile very invisible to most appear on Ren's lips as Kagome continues to stare at him with one of her own. A tension develops between them as no words are said. It is to be a battle of the wills between them.

"Um…guys?" Karin said, feeling the tension and makes a face as a thought, 'looks like big brother has fallen. "Should I leave you alone?"

"Shut it Karin," Ren hisses blinking feeling he lost the challenge as he looks at his sister. "I'm Ren."

"Kagome," the raven answers finding the light blue hair man rather handsome.

"Would you like some coffee?" Ren ask wanting to be in this angel's presence and she smiles.

"I like that," Kagome replies letting Ren lead her away as Karin shakes her head and pulls out her phone to send a text to Anju that she earn the twenty bucks once Ren meets Kagome and instantly under a spell.

"Well at least its twenty bucks," Karin muse shaking her head in amusement as she follows them to the nearby café glad to find one of her other friends there.
