"Now that you say it, Dumbledore does seem to be Ben Kenobi," said Ron.
It was the summer between Third Year and Fourth Year, and Hermione had invited Ron and Harry (dragged, said Ron. Invited was how Harry viewed it) to her house. Apparently she had plans to educate Ron in Muggle pop culture. Harry went along with it, mainly because he hadn't seen the Star Wars films before either.
Sadly for her, the party was larger than she'd hoped, as Arthur Weasley had a list of Muggle films that he viewed as important to Muggle culture, and this was one of them. He'd also brought the twins, Ginny and a (very, very reluctant) Percy. Hermione's parents didn't mind-Harry and Hermione were the only sane ones and were placed in charge while they went off.
It had gone well-the twins were interested ("Sounds like a cool film," said George. "I agree, my dear brother," said Fred), Percy was writing an essay on important Muggle films, and Ginny was able to be within 5 feet of Harry.
Watching the film, barely anyone spoke, apart from the occasional whispered comment ("Vader seems to be either Snape or Lucius Malfoy," said George to Fred. "Doesn't Leia look pretty, Harry?" whispered Ron) and were impressed with it. Then it ended, and everyone was allowed to say their opinions.
"Amazing how Muggles can create such vivid effects!" proclaimed Arthur. Percy nodded silently. "I've noticed that Ben Kenobi-an old man who was involved in a war involving the villains, and acts as a mentor to the hero-he's a bit like Dumbledore with you, Harry," said Fred, donning the 'professional critic' mock guise.
"And Vader-either Snape or Malfoy's father," said George.
"Now that you say it, Dumbledore does seem to be like Ben Kenobi," said Ron.
"No-Tarkin is Lucius Malfoy, the Emperor they're speaking about has to be Voldemort," said Hermione. This prompted everyone in the room to look at her strangely.
"And Quirrell is the Admiral who got choked," said Harry quickly, and attempting to change the subject.
"Well, they behaved well, as did I, but I won't come back if they show the next one. I think this one is enough, and very well done," said Arthur, as he walked out with his children and Harry. "Well, I hope Ron comes back. He's great," said Mr. Granger, as he shut the door slowly.
"Who compared themselves and their wizard friends to the characters?" as Mrs Granger, concerned.
"Harry's Luke, Professor Snape is Vader, I'm Leia apparently, Professor Dumbledore is Obi-Wan, Hagrid the Caretaker is Chewbacca, Grand Moff Tarkin is either the Minister of Magic or Lucius Malfoy, Neville is C-3P0, and Ron wants to be Han Solo. I also feel quite sorry for Harry."
"Why's that?" asked Mr Granger.
"Episode V-The Empire Strikes Back."
