PB is 13 years old in this story.
It was Valentines Day and Princess Bubblegum had woken up to breakfast in bed, that Finn made for her.
"What's this?" she asked.
"It Valentines Day and I made you breakfast in bed to celebrate our first Valentines Day together," Finn replied.
"It's beautiful Finn, thank you," said the princess.
"I was thinking maybe we could have a picnic, do some sightseeing and watch the sunset together!" Finn exclaimed.
"Wow Finn, that sounds awesome, just let me finish my breakfast and get dressed." As PB finished her breakfast that Finn made for her, Finn had gathered her clothes for a romantic adventure. When she had finished, he gave the clothes and she went into her room to get changed. A few minutes later PB came out and Finn was speechless.
She wore a nice flowing pink dress marching her beautiful bubblegum-pink hair. Have we got what we need?" she asked.
"Blanket check, basket check, we have everything," Finn replied.
"Let's go," Princess Bubblegum said. She then called for the Morrow, and not all after it came to her. Finn and PB jumped onto the Morrow and started to fly. They travelled through the grasslands, the Ice Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom.
As they were flying the duo on board were leaning into kiss until a bird came passed and dropped some nuts on their heads. With the moment ruined Finn grabbed a bunch of lavender roses with a single red rose in the middle and gave it to her. "Happy Valentines Day," he said.
"Thank you Finn, they're beautiful," Princess Bubblegum replied and gave her own bunch of roses to Finn, white roses with a single red rose in the centre.
"Thanks PB," Finn said.
As soon as noon came Finn and PB were looking for the perfect spot to have a picnic. When they found it, Princess Bubblegum stopped the Morrow and landed it on a small grassy hill with an elm tree beside them. Finn layed out the blanket and put the basket down, spreading out the food. They at down and started talking about Finn's adventures with Jake and how awesome they were.
When they started eating Finn said, "Open wide." PB did as she was asked and he put some cake in her mouth. After she finished she started laughing and then put some food in Finn's mouth. As Finn picked up a slice of bread, the same bird that dropped the nut on them before swooped in and stole the slice. "Hey! Come back! That was for my sandwich!" Finn yelled at its retreating figure.
"It's okay, we have more bread," PB assured him.
After a while the princess pulled out a music player and asked Finn if he would d the science dance with her. He replied with a 'heck yeah' and the music started. They danced scientifically together. When the song changed it was a slow song, perfect for slow dancing.
Finn asked Princess Bubblegum, "Would you like to dance with me?"
"Sure Finn, I'd love too," she replied. They held onto each other tightly and rested for the rest of the afternoon.
As the sunset came, they were lying on the blanket, enjoying the beauty of the sunset and at the same time tickling each other and laughing. Both tilted their heads, eyes closed, they were ready to kiss when the bird from before came and ruined the moment. They attempted again but the bird flew right between them. Finn was about to get up and throw something at it, when Princess Bubblegum pulled his lips to hers. The bird watched them kiss and forgot to look where it was going, flying straight into the tree.
As the sun set passed the horizon, they both said 'Happy Valentines' to each other. Before Finn went home, he walked her back to her castle and gave her a kiss on the lips, saying, "Goodnight, and I'll see you tomorrow."
"Okay Finn, goodnight," came the only reply.
