Blinding light engulfed the surroundings. But Levy was still shouting. Crying at the loss of her iron dragon. Lily was holding her from behind. The exceed was just as devastated at Gajeel's disappearance.

The spark faded.

The scenery seemed to shift. But despite of her utmost dejection, Levy felt a familiar presence around. She immediately toured her eyes and saw his figure. It was no mistake. Standing not so far was Gajeel. The very important person in her life. His back facing them.

"Gajeel!" She screamed his name from the top of her lungs. All thoughts left her brain. The only thing she could think of was, he was there, standing within her reach.

This time, whatever happens, she would never let him go. She would follow him even in death itself.

"Gajeel!" She ran towards his direction. He slowly turned back straightly looking at her. His crimson eyes widened in confusion and mixed emotions.

Not before long when she reached him. Levy instantly throw her entire weight at the man in front of her. He caught her perfectly in his arms.

"Le..vy?" His voice was muddled. "What.." Before he could finish his sentence, her lips crashed at his.

Gajeel thought he was dead. But the feeling of her within his touch cancelled all various possibilities of him being dead.

He was alive, holding the most precious thing that had occured in his unruly life.

She parted looking straight at his scarlet orbs.

Lily who had been there all along could only mumble, "how.." but the smile on his face made it clear that he didn't particularly care whatever the reason was. Whatever it was, as long as his partner was there, it's more than anything he could wish for.

"Gajeel.." She was crying. "I thought I lost you, idiot!" She continued with those overwhelming emotions inside her.

"I'm sorry for scaring you." Gajeel extended his palms to carress her face and wipe those tears spilling freely as he added, "it won't happen again."

"Definitely," she paused reciprocating his intense gaze. "It's very tough without you, so don't leave by my side forever!"

He tug his lips into a loving smile and embraced the woman he vowed to spent his life with for the rest of eternity.

"That's my line shorty."
