chapter one
I wake to the sound of singing outside my door. I get out of my bed and get changed into my green t-shirt, green gym shorts and my green DCs. I go to the mirror and see a big cut on my cheek and remember what happened yesterday. I was going to the hub for school and a branch hit my face. After a while I go to my living room and see my dad sitting there singing.
My dad says, "Morning, how did you sleep."
I just ignore it and get a muffin from the kitchen. Then I sit on the couch and take a bite. then my dad looks at me and say, "Are you nervous?" I just shake my head and keep on eating. "You know when i was doing the aptitude test I was so nervous I was sweating." I just smile and say, " Dad you know how we're supposed to have five leaders?" "Yea", he says. "Well you're looking at the new fifth leader." " Yea right like will ever happen." Just i was about to speak the one of the other leaders walks in and say, "Ten lets go to your aptitude test and choosing ceremony" I shake my head yes and follow him to the hub.
When i get outside I go right the zip line and start sliding to the hub once I reach it I see my friend Tobias standing by the Dauntless his faction. We go in and go to this weird mirror room with a lady in it. "hi im Tris sit. Do you know what you are doing? " she asks. " I have no reason to worry now do I." " wow a smart mouth." Then she tells me to drink this liquid. So I do and everything goes black. All of a sudden I'm in this room and two baskets are in front of me. " pick one." a voice says. I look and see there is a gun or meat. so I pick the gun, then I hear growling. I turn to see a dog. My first instinct is to shoot and I do. Then I wake next to Tris. She looks at me and says, " Your result was inconclusive.". I manage to say " And that means?" " You have an aptitude for two factions Dauntless and Carefree". " How?" is all i say. " When you picked the gun that made it dauntless, but when you turned and shoot right away and did not worry that made you carefree." I just get up and walk out but she stops me and says, " Look i'm putting it as dauntless so if you want to live pick that ok"
"ok", is all i say.
