As I stand there waiting staring at my feet my nerves starting to get the better of me, I can feel my heart start to race and panic beginning to set in.
Why did I agree to this? I don't like crowded or enclosed spaces but I agreed to do this I must be crazy.
My eyes flicker towards the exit, maybe I should go? maybe this was a bad idea?
Before I could decide the older woman standing next to me speaks "Commander Shepard, Major Alenko this is the young woman I spoke to you about, my student Sol" my eyes dart up and meet with hers and she gives me a reassuring smile and I turn my attention to the two men standing in front of us and smile meekly.
I know who they are who doesn't? meeting the first and second human spectre ever and two people who were highly instrumental in the destruction of the Reapers both of them seem so intimidating, I feel like a complete idiot and I bet I look worse.
Shepard smiles and laughs lightly "it's good to meet you, don't look so worried we don't bite" Alenko smiles warmly and sticks out his hand and I shake it timidly and take a deep breath "it's good to meet you too" Dr Chakwas laughs and places her hand on my shoulder "I should take Sol to the medbay and get her settled in goodbye Commander, Major" as we walked away my nerves calmed slightly maybe working on the normandy won't be as bad as I thought it would.
