Love the Way You Lie by Eve-the-Charlotte

Pairings: England/Hong Kong; implies past England/America and past France/England.

Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia: Axis Powers.

This is my special one-shot, because I wrote at three in the morning yesterday, so this is going to be an independent drabble. Enjoy!

Lies.

Hello, my name is Arthur, and I am your friend.

Lies.

I'm fine, Henry, it's not as if that bloody Yank meant anything to me.

Lies.

I'll be back later tonight, Henry. It's not like the damned frog can convince me to stay.

Lies.

Don't worry, Henry, it's not as though Japan is a threat to you militarily.

Lies.

I'll never leave you, Henry. Never.

Lies.

Please, Henry, give me one last chance. I love you.

Henry Wang, nee Kirkland, stared as the Englishman kneeled before him, tears streaming down his face. It was so different from their first meeting, with him crying and England staring down at him uncomfortably in his full pirate regalia. The only difference in the reverse is that Henry is clothed in a business suit rather than an overlarge heavily adorned coat and tricorn hat with a multicolor feather sticking up out of it.

"Okay," Henry replied emotionlessly, as his eyes bored down into emerald green ones that glistened with tears. He could never resist, never had before, never could, and probably never would, even though he should.

Arthur's eyes widened at this easy acceptance of his apologies. The man called England then smiled in joy and whispered, "Thank you," as he stood and kissed the man in front of him firmly as tears, this time of happiness, streamed freely down his pretty face.

Hong Kong knew it would happen again, that Arthur would stray again. But Henry loved him, unconditionally and obsessively, so it was nothing he couldn't handle. Besides, the Englishman looked so lovely when he lied.
