Disclaimer: None of the characters belong to me, only the thoughts. Also, the song "I Just Move On" (where I got the ideas from) is from the movie "Chicago" and belongs to Fred Ebb.
A/N: Set after "Empty Places," told in Buffy's Point of View. Please read and review and I'll love you forever.
"Move On"
Cast out, alone, unneeded, unwanted
Stripped of everything of meaning, my dignity gone
Replaced by a mere shadow of myself, one spouting hollow
promises of doing better, of doing what I couldn't
Replaced by even my own family; friends, who feel like kin,
turning their backs, siding with those who have forsaken me
Alone, rejected, lost, all hope is gone. With nothing else to do,
I must move on
The world is ending, though that problem is no longer mine
That problem rests on their shoulders now, alone in their
battle, I will no longer help them out
I move on, away from this life, this place with not a single tear
on my face
I can no longer stay in this place, so, like I have done before I will move on
I will leave my family, my friends, my life behind, leave them to the
challenge ahead
I must move on, all signs point to that
But the question I have is this: will I be able to move on?
