I haven't written in a while, I know. But I've been doing things (I do have a life away from Fan Fiction) ;)

Here's a Charlene/Finn story that I wrote in bed on my iPhone last night. I know it isn't very long, but it's kind of as long as I could make it be, so I'm sorry.

Here it is! :)

Charlene kicked a stone as she walked along the street. It was hot. Summer. Orlando was always very hot in summer, and Charlene's mom liked cooler weather. That's why they were going to Whistler to visit her aunt for two months.

"Charlene!" a voice called from behind her. Charlene spun around to see Finn running towards her.

"Finn? What are you doing here? Your school's so far away!"

"It's not SO far away," he reminded her. "Just a little. And Mom drove me. I said it was important, though, and she didn't say anything else."

"Important?" Charlene asked curiously. "What is it, Finn?"

"Well, you didn't look very happy yesterday and you said you couldn't come to the water park on Saturday."

"Oh, that," Charlene said heavily, frowning. "Mom's making us go to Canada for the summer, so I won't be here. I don't see how any of it's gonna work out."

Finn smiled reassuringly at her. "I'm sure it'll be okay, Charlie. You can go. But why don't you just talk with your mom?"

Charlene shook her head. "That's no good. We always goes on vacation. She would think I'm going crazy. She thinks I really want to go."

Finn paused. "Oh. Why do you have to go?"

Charlene sighed. He just didn't understand. He was trying to help, but nothing was going to. She was going to spend the summer in Vancouver. End of story. No discussion. No way to help it. "Because I do," she finally said. "What else would I do?"

"Stay with someone," Finn suggested, slinging an arm around Charlene.

"That'll totally work," Charlene said sarcastically. "I'll say 'Goodnight' to them, eat their breakfast, then whiz off to the water park with my friends."

"Stay with Willa."

Charlene halted. "But-what?"

"Stay with Willa. Why not?" Finn pulled her in closer to him.

Charlene laughed suddenly. Of course. "I don't know why not! That's a great idea!"

Finn grinned. "I thought so. Do you still think I'm dumb?"

"I never thought-no," Charlene said, laughing. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay," Finn said. "Now you can spend those two months with me instead."

Charlene threw herself into Finn's arms. "It's definitely better!" she exclaimed. "Thank you Finn!"
