All That's Left
Dear Readers,
A/N— A little drabble from Magnus's point of view. Takes place after the dreaded break-up scene in CoLS. Very pointless, read at your own risk.

It shouldn't hurt (But it did). Not like this (It still hurt). Not this crushing, suffocating pain that keeps him constantly pinned to the floor. He's sunk below the surface of his skin, until he's disappeared. Drowning in himself.
It doesn't matter that it hurts (Even though it shouldn't) because he's safe. Safe, behind locked doors, just him and half of his heart (Only half).
Only one half, because the other was somewhere else, belonged to someone else (Always did). Because once you gave away your heart like he did, you could never get it back again. Not completely.
That other half was gone (Not destroyed, just gone). Maybe forever (It would be better off destroyed, it would be hurting less). And for Magnus Bane, immortal (That's what had gotten him into this mess in the first place), forever meant forever. For eternity (A long time to be alone). If he lasted that long.
Immortal (He hated that word) or not, you can only live for so long, with only half a heart.
Dear Readers,
A/N— So there you go. Nothing special, but I hope you enjoyed!
