The Unofficial Death of George Weasley:
Please read and review!
Thank you so much!
"So you are saying that you want to trade your life for your brother's? Is this a true statement?" Hades asked.
"Yes."
"What if I don't want to help you?"
"Then I'll torture and kill you. I can easily do it with a spell and I know how painful it is for you to die."
Hades thought this over for a few seconds, "Well, since you guys are twins, it can be done without excessive power. However, there are a few…liabilities that you may want to read over," Hades smirked.
"I don't care. I've had my chance to live now please give him one."
"Well aren't you soooo brave. Now can you please stop pointing your wand at me? I find it very unnerving," Hades said.
"I won't do anything you want me to until you bring him back."
"What if I wanted you to talk? What would happen then?"
"You know what I mean."
"In that case, I don't want you to point your wand at me."
"Funny. I will point my wand at you until Fred is standing next to me."
"Hmmm it's a pity you're no fun anymore. Such a shame. We could've had loads of fun."
George glared.
"Oh don't be so cross! I am the one trying to help aren't I?"
George brought his wand up higher.
Hades tensed and smiled falsely at George.
"Well in that case, let the fun begin," Hades said.
A dark cloud appeared and snaked its way around the throne room. The cloud spiraled in the air to a spot next to George and transformed into Fred's shape. The cloud colored and solidified until Fred was standing as a whole human.
"Now, are you happy?" Hades asked.
George could only nod through his tears and his throat began to harden.
"Fred…" he said after he regained his voice, "I've missed you so much." Fred only looked at him.
George tried to walk over to Fred but an invisible power held him back.
"Ah, ah, ahhh. You can't touch him. It's against the rules," Hades said, wagging his finger mockingly.
George glared at the God of the Underworld, bitter curses forming at his mouth. To his right, he saw Fred trying to say something but no words would come out. George whipped his head around and when he saw that Fred couldn't speak he turned back around to Hades.
"What the hell happened to him!?"
"Well, it's just one of those liabilities I told you about. It seems as if he looks like Fred but doesn't have the capacity to be him," Hades said.
"WHAT!? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?"
"It means, my Dearest Georgie Pie, that you'll be living in the Underworld for the rest of your death and your 'brother' will walk the Earth as an empty shell. He won't have any feelings or memories and he'll have very little thoughts. Oh and his entire soul has been erased from this transfer so there's no finding it now" Hades explained, his eyes shining with the delight of a successful scam.
Before George could argue, Hades brought back the same black cloud that brought Fred and it encompassed George, closing off his throat. He could feel himself becoming lighter and when he looked down, his body was glowing. George was no longer a human.
"Toodle-Oo!" Hades called out before using the cloud to send George back into the heart of the underworld.
Fred was then sent to live on Earth. He could see, touch, smell, taste and hear, but the fact that he couldn't understand or remember drove him mad. He could only think about his lack of humanity. Finally, Fred did the only thing he could think of doing and he stabbed himself to death. The soul of Fred Weasley was lost forever in the cracks of death and time and George, looking above from his place in the underworld, could only weep for eternity for the loss of his brother and best friend.
