The sounds of sweet music filled the lonely air. It was a quiet nigh, but then again it's always quiet around here.

A mewtwo played the piano, swiftly moving his hands across the keyboard like a true virtuoso. It was drizzling outside, which matched his mood perfectly.

While he played, he pondered on his thoughts, thinking of what to do. He dared not to remember that night, that one awful night but he had to. The town or the world would be in danger if he didn't decide in a few days. He closed his eyes and let the memory stream in.

A mewtwo lay on the floor, clutching his stomach. Blood dripped from his mouth and his eyes grew red. A figure stood over him, wearing a black coat that barely touched the ground.

"Matthew, you need not to try. He will rule the world soon enough." The entity in the cloak said. It put out his hand to help Matthew up but Matthew just ignored him and slowly stood up by himself.

"You were handpicked by the dark lord himself, why have you forsaken him?" The entity in the cloak asked.

"I… You know I'll never join you. I never will." Matthew slashed his sword but the entity just shot a strong psychic blast at Matthew, throwing him to the wall.

"Tsk, tsk, I can tell you don't seek wealth or fame like many others, but maybe… Just maybe… you seek love? For I sense it in your heart. You long for someone." The entity said slowly. Now it really caught Matthew's attention.

"How…How do you know?" Matthew said, standing up.

"The dark lord has given me true powers, so that I may serve him properly." The entity replied.

"You seek love, do you not?" it asked again.

Matthew looked away.

"What happens if I told you I can grant your longing. He can bring pokemon back from the dead. He can bring her back from the dead." The entity persuaded. "All you have to do is to join us. You will finally have her back, and more." Matthew didn't reply. He continued to look away.

"It's either that, or we kill everyone. It is your choice at the end." The entity said. "You have seven days to decide. Come back here when you do." It said as it teleported in a flash.

Matthew continued pounding the keys. He knew that it wasn't logical to join them but, his heart said something else.

In the first time in his life, he felt confused. What should I do? Is he telling the truth? Can he really bring Katrina back to life? They were all questions that swarmed his head.

Ah, Katrina, how he missed her so much. It's been so long yet his heart still longs for her.

She was an elegant lopunny, trained in the arts of combat. She was very knowledgeable to, knowing vast ways of healing and how to channel aura through wounds, which was uncommon for her species. She was also very pretty and till this day, He keeps a picture of her behind his badge for good luck.

He sighed. He really missed her. If the entity was telling the truth, this could be his only way of seeing her again… Just maybe… Just maybe…

He stopped playing the piano. He suddenly decided what he wanted. He closed his eyes slowly. He hoped that he knew what he was doing. If he were to make the most of his time, he would have to leave now. He stood up, and closed the lid on the piano. And the house grew silent once more.
