Disclaimer- Obviously I don't own Harry Potter.
AN- I haven't written a story in forever, so I decided to write this one. It's based off of a true story, like The Forgotten Cough. As I am writing this, I still have no idea what the story is going to be about, but I hope you enjoy it anyways! R&R!
The Orchestra Stare down
Hermione POV
One day at Hogwarts, Hermione and her two best friends, Harry and Ron, were sitting in an Orchestra room. They had been forced to take Orchestra as a punishment after being caught sneaking out to Hagrid's hut after hours. They had been somewhat separated. Hermione was sitting next to Ron, and they were both playing violin. But Harry was on the other side of the room, playing viola.
None of them were very good… they all pretty much sounded like crap, actually. The whole orchestra was in the middle of playing a song as the teacher stopped them to say something orchestra related. Since none of it made any sense to her, Hermione started to talk to Ron about her Defense Against the Dark Arts homework.
"I just can't get the spell right! I swear, I'm going to fail!" she said. Then she noticed that Ron wasn't listening. He had sort of a distant look in his eye.
"Ronald? Are you listening to me?" she asked.
"Mhmm" He replied, still not looking at her.
"Will you at least look at me when I talk to you? Ron?" Now he was smiling and poking his head out from behind his violin every few seconds, still staring at the same spot. She followed his gaze and saw Harry doing the same thing Ron was. They seemed to be having some odd sort of, child like stare down.
They both started laughing when she realized why Ron was ignoring her.
"Hermione, we've been doing this for the past five minuets! You just never noticed!" And they continued laughing at her oblivious-ness for the rest of their punishments.
AN- I hoped you liked it! That happened to me and my friends (me being the oblivious one) accept we weren't in orchestra for punishment. We joined. GO ORCH DORKS!!!
