Some Fitz/Ward family/friendship stuff! Be warned, this is an emotional one-shot!

"Grant Ward, step forward please," senior agent Maxwell Lucas ordered, motioning for former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Grant Ward to approach him. The tall Hydra agent stopped shortly in front of Lucas, two agents beside him. "Grant Ward, you are being charged with terrorism, betrayal, and murder and sentenced to a lifetime in prison," the senior agent said, looking into Ward's eyes.

As Ward turned, he heard a shout from behind them. "Wait! Wait!" Ward could recognize the voice anywhere: Leopold Fitz. Ward's former brother figure. Ward turned to the Scottish scientist. "What is it, Fitz?" he asked. "Agent Fitz, step back, please," Lucas ordered. Fitz gazed towards the veteran. "With all due respect, sir, no," he said, looking to Ward. "Tell me, Ward; did you really fake all of this just to get into S.H.I.E.L.D., or was it simply out of loyalty to Garrett and you really care about us? It's the latter, right Ward?" he asked.

Ward looked down and nodded. "Fitz, I love and care about every single one of you. But this has to happen. I helped Hydra and Garrett. I killed Agent Koening." Fitz sighed as the two agents pulled Ward away. But suddenly, Fitz did something he would never do: he jumped onto a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, pulling him from Ward. "No! You can't take him away, you just can't!" he yelled, running and pulling Ward. "Come on, Ward, you can't go!" he continued, tears forming in his eyes. "You just can't!"

More agents ran in, grabbing Fitz, restraining him. "No! No! You can't take him away!" Fitz continued to yell, slamming his fists into the agents. "He has to come back! He can't leave! He's like a brother to me!" he started to scream, tears streaming down his cheeks. "He's my brother!" But that didn't matter: the agents proceeded to lock up Agent Ward, leaving Fitz in the room bawling. He had lost him. He had lost his friend. His family. His brother.
