******************************************************************************************************************"It will be soon" Eric whispered, his voice barely audible but Pam caught what he said. She turned to look at him, slumped awkwardly, his body too weak to hold any composure. Not that he needed to, Pam was everything to him, and he didn't care if she saw him like this. In his final moments, she was all he wanted. Eric was staring at her now, she was so beautiful, just like the day he turned her. Her curls framed her face perfectly, her bottom lip trembling trying to keep from crying in front of him. He offered her a small smile, a gesture to console her, to let her know he was not frightened.

Pam returned the smile, a single bloody tear escaping. She made no move to wipe it away.

"I'm not ready" she managed to choke out, voice trembling and high, far removed from her sassy remarks she was known for.

"I can get you more blood, we can try.. we can.." the rest of the words stuck in her throat, desperate to escape but forced back down from the sobs that began.

"Come here" Eric murmured, his progeny moved closer to him, her body shuddering with each sob and she stepped closer. Eric gestured for Pam to sit with him, she stood unsure.

"I don't want to hurt you".

"Come sit down" Eric insisted, "in one hundred years, you've never once hurt me my love."

"There's a first time for everything" Pam replied, snuggling into Eric, turning her face into his neck.

"I don't want you to leave me, I'll be all alone" Pam whispered.

Eric put one arm around Pam and pulled her closer. "I'll always be with you Pam".

"It won't be the same" Pam sniffled.

"There's always Ginger."

The pair laughed gently and for a moment it was like old times.

"Will it hurt?" Pam asked.

"I don't think so. It will be quick".

"Are you not afraid?"

Eric paused. "I'm not afraid to die, I will see Godric and Nora, but you won't be there."

"I could be" Pam said.

"No" snapped Eric.

Pam flinched and pulled away a little.

"I don't want you to die, Pam."

"I died once already, what does it matter if I die again?"

"It would matter to me"

"Why?" Pam demanded.

"You have much to live for."

"Such as?"

"Next year's sale at Gucci" Eric chuckled.

"Funny" said Pam as she hit his chest lightly.

"We could go together? You couldn't stop me right now"

"I couldn't" Eric agreed.

"So, let's end it together, on our own terms. Fuck those humans trying to hunt us down, fuck hep-v, fuck-" Pam was interrupted by Eric's lips on hers.

"Sorry, you're too cute when you're angry."

"Together?" asked Pam.

"Together" Eric agreed, returning to her lips.

"I love you, you know that right?" Eric asked stroking her cheek with his thumb. "I need you to know that I love you, I always have"

"I know. I love you too Eric."

"Now?" Eric asked.

Pam said nothing but rose from her seat next to Eric. She turned to smile at him as she easily ripped apart a chair offering him a makeshift stake from the wreckage. She returned to her spot next to her maker, the place where she belonged. She felt his body embrace hers.

"Close your eyes" he whispered.
