(On a sail boat…)

Ω: This had better be worth popping up in the cargo hold.

P: Seems promising; this city looks like the ones back home.

Psyche: The technology is a bit old, similar to the era of time known as the 'Roaring Twenties'

E: Perhaps, but the design of the buildings suggest a society much older.

Γ: Where on Earth are we?

Y (holding map): We are not on Earth. At least not as we know it.

Ω: Well you've obviously read up on this universe, so tell us where we are!

Y: This planet has no name, but it is divided up into four major powers: the Earth Kingdom farther up in the mainland, the Fire Nation out on a group of islands, and the Southern and Northern Water Tribes at their respective poles. The city we are arriving at is Republic City, a conglomerate of each power is represented here. Its infrastructure is supported by Future Industries, current CEO is Asami Sato.

E: Anything else about its people we can find out?

Psyche: An interesting development; the people here seem to be able 'bend' the four traditional elements using martial arts.

P: Now we're talking!

E: We are not here to fight.

P: But we are here to learn, and we can learn how to harness our own elemental energy here.

Γ: Rho's right, that should be our goal for now. Who can we learn from here?

Y: The most powerful 'bender' on the planet is the Avatar, the only person who can manipulate all four elements. That statue depicts the last Avatar, Aang.

Ω: And this new Avatar?

Y: Her name is Korra of the Southern Water Tribe. A seventeen year old girl. Currently away to be with her family. In her absence others will need to be discovered.

P: Who are they?

Y: You are going to like this one, there is a sport for this called Pro-Bending.

Ω: As much as I would like to dive in the deep end we will need to find teachers.

Y: The masters of water and fire are in their separate countries. Earth we might have a chance with; the best is Republic City Police Chief Lin Beifong.

E: And air?

Y: It can not be learned, bending is genetic and there is only one airbending master out of the five that exist. Attempts to airbend will result in unwanted attention.

E: How is airbending so rare?

Y: There was a systematic genocide of the Airbending Nomads almost two centuries ago. Avatar Aang was the last of his kind.

Γ: Alright, you find proper bending teachers, Psyche and me will try to pull as much of this world's history as we can. We don't know when the next door will show up so lets make the most of it!

(In some strange forest)

Nero: This place isn't normal.

Helen: We must be in a ethereal plane, our power will be severely diminished.

Nero: Well there seems to be a portal out close by, there also someone who can help.

Helen: Wait, there is…something wrong with this place.

Nero: What do you mean?

They both see a large monster uncoil from the tree tops and around the person. The victim screams and is soon cut silent. The person stumbles away without a face. Nero is aghast.

Nero: This thing is a true monster, unlike any that can exist in any world.

Helen: It is heading for the portal.

Nero: Then we need to stop it!

Helen: This world is your concern?

Nero: Humanity is always my concern. I won't let it fall as long as I am able to fight the things that beset them. So are you with me or not!

Helen: Sure, I was hoping that there would be some fun along the make the most of it!
