A short little drabble that entered my head. Sorry for any mistakes I had sleep on the brain.
I do not own Pretty Little Liars.
Sleep in Peace, My Darling
Slowly Spencer blinked her eyes open, but the bright light fought off her eyesight, so she only saw through fluttering lashes. Her bedroom was lit up with golden sun rays emitted from her large windows. The thin sheet on her body was twisted, but a comforter above was gently laid on top of her. As the memories of last night flowed through her mind a gentle, small smile found its way on her face. A happy and comforted one.
Peace was also on her brain. A strange sense she hadn't felt in a long time. It filled her whole body, head to toe warming her veins with happiness as well. It almost felt like nothing could end her happiness and peace. Though, her narrow eyesight saw pass her long curling lashes and drifted down to the nightstand where an orange bottle with a white cap stood. Harsh memories beat down her happiness and peace.
It wasn't too long ago Spencer remember gulped down two of those white pills trying to defeat the sleepless nights she had or the surreal nightmares that made every nerve inside her tense. She could almost feel the black gloved hands creeping up to her neck and clamping tight on her throw lifting her up in the air, cutting off her air circulation. Spencer softly shook her head ridding the horrifying memories of nightmares out of her head.
Now Spencer could feel her body slightly awakening with her mind. Her back felt a remembered warmth and her hands clutched the comforter when she realized her back was now cold. One hand ventured behind her only to pat down on an empty spot. Panic surged through her and worry invaded her brain. Where was he? The one who had taken away the sleepless nights and terribly real dream? Where was the one who kept her warm at night and t peace?
Her mind ran through a list of ideas. One began haunting her forcing her to sit up in bed, back against the headboard, whipping her head around to examine every inch of her bedroom. No black hooded figure stood in the corner mocking her with clenched fists. The idea that rattled her mind before now ran free, and she felt a tad bit better. But, still, where was he. He should be next to her occupying the rest of the bed. He should be holding her tight and never letting go. But, he wasn't.
Spencer heard light footsteps padded down the hall outside her room. Something pushed open the ajar door and the figure came into focus. There he was standing in his shirtless glory showing off his sculpted body with only rumpled boxers on. He lifted up a tray containing different breakfast goodies he held in his hands with a dimpled grin on his beautiful face making his stunning blue eyes twinkle. He set the tray down on her lap and sat on the edge of the bed. Giving a light kiss on Spencer's parted lips Toby pulled back and gave her another award winning grin. "Good morning, my darling. Breakfast in bed?"
