Running through the city like a shadow on the run
He heard ahead of him, "C'mon lets have some fun!"
Dropping down from buildings and zigzagging through the streets
When an explosion erupted followed by frantic heart beats
"This isn't my kind of fun," the Bat said to the clown
"Oh don't be like that Bats your gonna make me frown!"
The prince of crime took the Dark Knights hand
Running to a nearby fruit stand
The Bat looked around very confused
While the clown picked up some fruit looking frighteningly amused
"20 points for officers," the Joker cried to the Bat.
"But if you get the Chief I'll buy you a new hat!"
The Batman looked at Joker like he had lost his mind
The Joker picked up an apple of the yellow and green kind
The police cars pulled up and the Bat backed away
The cops jumped out and told them to stay
The apple went flying and a bullet zoomed through the air
The Batman blocked the Joker and held him with care
"You idiot you could have been killed!" the Bats stated angrily.
The Joker looked at the man and sighed quite languidly
"Take me home Batsy." The Joker replied
The Batman looked down at the thin man and sighed
"Alright but no more games for a while."
"I'll try my best." The Joker said with a smile
The Bat smirked at his lover and fled into the night
The Joker leaned into his chest and felt all was right.
