D'Artagnan
The fight was overwhelming, the Spanish were pushing him against a tree. There were four of them, my energy was starting to fail me and my legs unable to hold me up. Glancing across the field I saw my brothers, fighting with ease against a opponent each. Instinct telling me they would be alright, they had been strong without me before, they could do it again. The sword of one of my opponents go straight through my body. A voice calling my name in the distance reached my ears but i couldnt work out who the voice belonged to. It was at that point that the darkness engulfed me.
It was pain that brought me back up to the surface. The struggle was hard but I needed to see the once more. See the most important people in my life. It took what seemed like days to lift the weight of my eyelids up. The effort was worth it for when I opened my eyes I was greeted by no other than Porthos, Aramis and my mentor Athos. I tried as hard as I could to tell them all would be okay, I had to do this for them.
"D'Art, lie still everything will be okay", was all I could hear them repeating over and over again. with every second that passed I was being dragged further and further into unconsciousness. I managed to get the words "it's s'kay my brothers, let me go, I did tis for you to live on, I love you" before my vision went black. I knew there and then that I was gone.
