A God's Prayer

Kibitokai watched as his great and honorable ancestor whined about not being able to watch the fight with (and technically, in) Majin Buu.

I pray that those two are handling things better than my ancestor.

Pray…

He had an idea.

"…why back in my day – wait, what are you doing?" The Elder Kai paused in his tirade, his attention captured by the sight of his descendant kneeling on the ground.

"I'm praying," Kibitokai said simply. "For Goku and Vegeta to win against Majin Buu."

"You're a Kai. There's no one higher than we are. Just who are you expecting to pray TO?"

"I'm not sure," Kibitokai admitted sheepishly. "But it can't hurt to try, can it?" He asked, eyes lighting up innocently (insert fangirl "aww!").

"Besides," he whispered softly to himself, "what else can I do?" With that Kibitokai closed his eyes and clasped his hands together, his thoughts sending a prayer to whoever might be listening.

"ACHOO!"

Meanwhile in Japan…

"Ugh, don't tell me I'm catching a cold now. That's the last thing I need." Sighing, Akira Toriyama turned back to his work: drawing the next chapter of Dragonball.
