A/N: JT/Liberty one shot. What I think I should have happened in the episode 6.11 "Rock This Town." Slight spoilers. Please review and let me know what you think!

Title: Never Let Me Go

Pairing: JT/Liberty

Summary: He needed to tell her. He couldn't let go unless she knew how he really felt. Nothing else mattered.

He inhaled sharply as the knife punctured his skin and he fell back against his car, in shock. Pain chorused through his body as he slowly slid down the length of his car. He laid, crumbled next to his car, too shocked and in pain to move.

He heard someone running towards him and closed his eyes, trying to focus and not slip away.

Warmth filled his body as he felt someone touch him and he opened his eyes and saw her.

Liberty.

His eyes closed again but he fought once more to open them. The pain continued to chorus through his body but only one thing was going through his mind.

He had tried to fight the emotion that rose to the pit of his stomach every time she entered a room. Every time she smiled. Every time she would ignore him. Every time she pretended that she didn't care about him. Every time she stood up to him. He had tried to convince himself that it wasn't true, but he couldn't fight it anymore.

He missed her.

He not only missed her, but as he struggled to breathe, he realized, he was still in love with her. He had to tell her. Nothing else mattered at that moment. No matter what was going to happen, he needed to make sure she knew how he truly felt. She was his oatmeal, his everything. It had taken him awhile to realize it, but she was truly the one for him. She challenged him like no one else could. She pushed him to be better. She made him feel like a good person just by being there for him. She laughed at his jokes, not matter how corny they were. She was the only girl he had ever truly been in love with. She had waited for him for four years. She loved him with all his faults. She had even had the guts to admit how she truly felt when he even was too scared. She was the only one that gave him butterflies in his stomach when she entered a room.

He needed to tell her.

She cradled his head in her arms and was screaming, "SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE! SOMEBODY!

He struggled again against the pain to keep his eyes open and opened his mouth, "Lib" he said softly.

"JT," she said, "Don't talk. You need to conserve your energy."

"No," he said softly, "I need to tell you something."

"JT, please" she said, her eyes begging him desperately.

"You were right," he said as he closed his eyes as pain seeped through his body.

"Right?" Liberty questioned.

JT coughed and slowly inhaled a breath, "I love you."

He slowly closed his eyes as he tried to fight against the pain, but it was becoming harder and harder.

And then suddenly, everything went black.
