Only Katie and family belongs to me!
Ink Future
Katie moved closer to the bookshelf, looking closely at strange looking book near end of the shelf.
It looked very old, like it hadn't been touched in 30 years or more.
She touched it daringly, then immediately jumped back as if the book could feel her touch it and was waiting to pounce.
She finally found the courage to grab the book from the dusty shelf and carefully held the book in her hands while peering at the cover.
Fairies scattered around the cover dancing in front of a lush backround of beautiful trees and bushes topping it all with a fountain in the middle.
She ever so gently opened the cover and turned the pages until she reached the first page.
For a month Katie was lost in the book, not pausing for anything except to eat and drink.
Completely engrossed in the book Katie would spend hours at a time just sitting in her room reading this new book of hers called Ink Heart.
As a lover of reading in general it was not surprising that she loved this new book.
As well as reading books some of Katie's hobbies were riding bikes on hot summer days, watching her favorite TV shows, and spending time in her living room working on puzzles.
She lived in a the capital of England, London, and she went to school at a normal regulated England school.
Though she had many hobbies above all her passion was reading. She was an avid reader that would read any book she could get her hands on.
Her family had inherited many books from family members around the world.
She often received new books on he shelf and read them quickly. This new book seemed very old, but this did not at all diminish the quality of this magnificent book.
Katie's family often sat around the fire in the living room listening to Katie read them a couple of pages from the new book she was reading at the time.
On one of these such evenings something strange happened...
"Katie your dad's having a rough day wanna read for the family we really need to relax today?" Katie's mom asked.
"sure mom" Katie responded sweetly.
So the family gathered around the living room picking their respective favorite chairs to sit in while listening.
Since she was reading Ink Heart at the time it was this book she read from.
She started at chapter 5 where Dustfinger had taken fire honey from the now angry fire sprites when suddenly a buzzing sound filled the air.
And so the gift was born again!
