Frigga watched over her two beloved children as they played in the garden. It was such a beautiful sight to see. Her two sons pretending they were in a great battle. Frigga was amazed at how far a child's imagination could stretch. One minute Loki would be the hero and Thor the enemy and the next minute it would reverse.

"Mother." Thor said running over to his mother and smiling up at her with a large toothy grin. Both boys were but eight years of age but were already growing to be wonderful young men. Thor was strong and his trainer in arms told Frigga that he would be a brilliant soldier. Loki on the other hand was brilliant in a different way. He studied for hours on end wishing to know every magic spell or nugget of knowledge that he could.

"My sons." Frigga said smiling down at them and grabbing both of their hands.

"When will it be here mother?" Loki asked looking towards her protruding stomach. Frigga smiled. She remembered the day that Thor was born and they told her that she would not be able to conceive again. Then just months later Odin brought Loki home with him. It seemed the right thing to do and Frigga has wanted another child so much. Instantly she fell in love with the green eyed baby and became very protective of him. Thor would spend his time with his father when he was younger while Loki would sit and read books with his mother.

Frigga had become pregnant twice after Thor was born but neither child survived past the second trimester. Now here Frigga was, surrounded by family and pregnant again, she couldn't be happier. Frigga had entered her third trimester three weeks ago and had no problems to date. She would spend most of the day resting and preparing for the child but savored each moment.

"The healers say about three more weeks, my love." Frigga said smiling.

"What is it?" Thor said curiously.

"I cannot be certain, but I believe you both may have a little sister." Frigga said and Thor's nose wrinkled in disgust, obviously not enjoying the idea of a sister.

"Well I hope it's a boy. I can teach him to fight." Thor grinned.

"Can I teach her magic then mother?" Loki asked.

"I believe so. But we will have to wait." Frigga said leading the boys inside.

The child was born on a cold night three weeks later. Karena was her name. It meant pure. Frigga held her fair skinned, blue eyed and fair-haired daughter in her arms. The princess of Asgard.
