"Good morning, big brother."
It is Lili's cheerful voice that woke him. The light hurt his head, too bright and- well, bright. For a moment, he has to wonder where he is.
Then the last night rushes back to him.
He doesn't remember the details, only that Ivan had been there with him, and had brought along his vodka. Though, on second thought, that really says all that needs to be said.
He doesn't remember how he returned to the hotel. There might have been dark hair and the word "PASTAAAA!" involved, but he really cannot be sure. The only thing he does know for certain is that once he entered the hotel, he had gone in search of Roderich's room.
But he's here, and it's Lili's cheerful voice that is waking him up to face the (oh so painful) sunlight, not Roderich's annoyed one.
"L- Lili?" he stutters, forcing himself to open his eyes and look at his sister, "What happened? Why are you in Roderich's room?"
Lili looks at him, an adorably confused look on her face. She cocks her head quizzically before speaking.
"We are in my room, big brother. Why would we be in Mr Austria's room?"
Suddenly, he's not really sure he wants to know what happened last night.
But- he's Switzerland, and he will face whatever it was head on.
"Lili?" he questions tentatively, "What happened last night?"
"I do not really know," she replies. "I was asleep, and when I woke up, you were asleep by my side, big brother. I thought you might be ill, so I let you sleep in like you allow me too, when I'm sick."
…
Obviously, it had been even worse than he had feared.
Vash stares at Lili, unable to form words.
Lili just stares back at him, looking even more quizzical. "You're turning bright red, big brother," she says, "Do you have a fever? I can bring you something to make you feel better if you do. You did tell me that fondue could cure everything, didn't you? Oh, and why did you think we were in Mr Austria's room?" she adds as an afterthought.
In that moment, he is certain that things cannot get worse.
Of course, laws of the universe being what they are, he is wrong.
A scarily familiar voice comes from outside the room and asks, "What's this about Switzerland and my room, Lili?"
And Lili, being Lili, feels compelled to reply to Roderich as he walks in. "Big brother thought we were in your room when he woke up," she says.
Roderich gives him an amused look. "My room, huh?" he muses.
Vash can feel his face starting to flame. Lili is giving him a confused look, and Roderich looks almost unhealthily amused.
For a moment, he thinks about creating some sort of excuse. But- well, he decides that caution really is the better part of valour, and before either of them can question him further, he flees.
The headache at running while hungover is so much less torturous than facing the two of them would have been.
This was for a prompt on the Hetalia Kink Meme: "In March 2007, a 170-person Swiss infantry unit became lost during a training exercise and inadvertently crossed 1.5 km into Liechtenstein. The accidental invasion ended when the unit realized their mistake, and turned back. The Swiss army later informed Liechtenstein of the incursion and offered official apologies."
I would absolutely love to see an intoxicated/confused Switzerland in a hotel where both Liechtenstein and Austria are also staying. He accidentally enters Liechtenstein's room thinking it's Austria's and gets into bed with her. When he figures out that it's her, he freaks out and runs away in shame. At some point in the near future he apologizes, either to her face or with a gift left in her room or whatever anon would like.
