Enkidu07's Drabble Challenge - Happy Birthday, Swellison. She wanted a drabble that includes a minor holiday, like Memorial Day, anything but Christmas, Thankgiving or Easter. Hope this fits the bill.

Prompt word: ridiculous

Word Count: A double drabble - 200 words on the dot.

Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people swinging on the swings on this Supernatural playground. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.

Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.

"You want to what?" questioned Dean.

"I want to go to the Memorial Day Parade today. Says here it starts at 1:00 p.m." Sam pointed at the paper he held.

His younger brother looked so hopeful, Dean found himself caving. "Fine. Why not?" After a few seconds he continued, "I wonder what it's like to march in a parade. You know—like the military guys. Be looked at like a hero for a change."

"Hey, we can! Umm—not exactly like what you just said but it says there's a classic car section of the parade. All we have to do is sign up and decorate the vehicle in some red, white, and blue."

"Nah. It's probably too ridiculous." Dean shrugged, stuffing a t-shirt back into his duffel.

Sam laughed. "C'mon, Dean, I think it would be fun! Besides you'd get to show off the Impala!"

"Seriously? You think we should do it?"

"Yes."

In the end, they went for simple, hanging an American flag on each side of the car. The brothers wore jeans and white t-shirts, donned dark sunglasses. They smiled the entire parade route as they listened to the Impala's throaty rumble and the crowd's enthusiastic applause.
