Summary: A chance meeting between an Elf and a Man and the consequences it entails.
A long time ago, when the earth was young and the trees were green, in a dark forest far from our lands, an Elf and a Man met. The Elf was fair to look upon and the Man was charming to the elf.
As with all chance meetings, the parties concerned always fall in love at first sight. And so they fell in love and spent their time with each other watching the fauna of the forest and enjoying each other's company.
Days passed, weeks, months, even years until one fateful night. The moon was full and it cast an eerie light upon the surrounding flora, the trees looked like pillars made of ivory, the leaves looked like they were made out of precious metals and they chimed like small bells. The ground was smooth as if it was marble.
The Elf and the Man were standing in the middle of the clearing. Their fingers clasped and all were silent. They looked into each other's eyes and said- nothing for they needed no words to say what they felt for each other. No words could explain their feelings.
And so they spoke in a secret language, a language only through looking into each other's eyes. They made a vow to each other that night.
Out of the forest, "Aragorn,...Aragorn?"
"My beloved, where art thou?", a soft voice called the Man's name.
"Aragorn? Aragorn?", it repeated...but no one came and the soft gentle voice turned into a harsh whisper of an Orc.
"Aragorn,... Aragorn!", it growled.
But no response came, only the cacophony of the birds could be heard.
"ARAGORN!", it shouted.
The cacophony died and the growled echoed in the silent forest.
