Hi! This is my first fanfic, so please be nice, Review good or bad?
"It happened. It finally happened. My mom and dad got divorced." Kitty said with tears still rolling down her face. She was with the X-Men and Lance in the living room. Normally Scott and the others won't let him in, but just because Kitty was upset, they decided to let him in.
"I'm really sorry, Kitty." Jean said with Scott's arm wrapped around her. Scott nodded his head, agreeing with her. Kitty then looked down at the ground, with the tears running down her her face, and landing on the ground, causing little wet spots. It was then Rogue's turn to talk. /p
"We're here for you, Kitty. Whenever you need to talk we're here for you." Rogue said as she put a hand on Kitty's shoulder. Kitty kept looking at the ground until she couldn't take it anymore. She put her face in her hands, and ran all the way to her bedroom crying. When she left, all the X-Men looked at one another, until Lance spoke up.
"May I go up and comfort her?" He said as he got up, not caring if they said yes or not. Scott glared under his glasses, thinking of Kitty and Lance, being alone together in a room, as a bad idea, until Jean put her hands on his shoulders, reminding him that Kitty was upset and needed someone close to her, to help her get through this. Scott thought for moment, before he sighed and let his guard down.
"Few minutes, and only to comfort her! No funny Business!" He said as he pointed a finger in Lance's direction. Lance just shrugged his shoulders, and walked in the direction, that Kitty's bedroom was.
Kitty ran to her bedroom, and jumped on her bed crying softly into her pillow. She never thought of her parents getting a divorce. They always seemed to get along with each other, when she was a child, she wondered why the sudden change? Did they love her? Did they have trouble with their marriage before? All those questions rushed through Kitty's head. Until it was interrupted by a soft knock on the door.
"Kitty, it's Lance. May I please come in?" Lance asked softly from the other Side of the door. Kitty got up from her bed, and wiped some of her tears away and answered.
"Yeah, sure, Lance." Kitty answered. Lance knew her voice sounded weak and tiring, from the crying. Lance's eyes softened at the sound of her voice. He then walked in, and saw Kitty wiping tears from her face, when she saw Lance, she quickly stopped wiping her eyes, and tried her hardest to smile.
"Oh, hey Lance." Kitty said trying to sound nice, Lance stopped right in front of her.
"Kitty, are you doing okay?" He asked. Kitty just nodded her head, with that fake smile still on her face.
"I'm fine. Why?" She asked.
"Because of that breakdown, you had in the living room?" He said with one of his eyebrows raised. Kitty didn't say anything, she just looked down at the ground, tears were falling down her face. Lance sat down on the bed, and put his arm around her, with the other in front of her, pulling her into a tight warm hug.
"Kitty, look. I'm always here for you. If you need to talk, you can call me. If you need to cry, I'll come over and let you cry into my shoulder. If you need anything, I'm always here." He said. Kitty didn't know what to say. All she did was cry. She put her head on Lance's chest, and cried. He put his hands on her back, and let her cry.
"Thanks, Lance." Kitty said as she smiled at him, after crying for minutes. Lance smiled back at her, and put his arm on her shoulder.
"I'm always here, Kitty." He said to her. And Kitty knew he meant it.
